Republicans rallying this morning in Springfield had a new prop: A broom that read "McBolliNelli" on the handle.
The Republican ticket is stumping throughout the state Saturday but began with a traditional GOP pep rally at Interstate Van Lines in Springfield. Gubernatorial candidate Bob McDonnell was joined by ticket mates Lt. Gov. Bill Bolling, attorney general candidate Sen. Ken Cuccinelli and a variety for Republican luminaries, including Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour, chairman of the Republican Governors Association.

I was there. It was a good rally. The crowd was reminded that when the GOP made a comeback in 1994, Haley Barbour was at the helm of the RNC and now he’s head of the RGA. He provided lots of encouraging words for the crowd.
I used to work next door to Interstate Van Lines - wish I’d been there today......

maybe we should use the broom as a symbol after we win on tuesday. like the us submariners who put a broom on the periscope shrouds after a successful patrol, indicating a clean sweep.

I have family in C’ville, they are hopeless left wing diehards, nice folks but I’ve given up on them.

Virginia Beach is 100 miles and there is that bridge-tunnel thingie to deal with (without mentioning the $17 toll)

Sure! The ones I posted I linked from the McDonnell site. It was nice to see George Allen in the mix along with the current crop of elected representatives.
They’ll take awhile to upload, but I should have some more up within the hour. For some reason his site has no pics up from our rally.
Unfortunately, Barbour and Allen weren’t at our rally, but I’m just thankful it didn’t pour down raining! It had been raining awhile, and was still raining when we went inside the office. But just before they arrived and we were all sent outside, save for a few drops, the rain stopped and stayed away. Very fortunate.
