You didn’t need to convince me. I know a conservative when I see them. Us conservatives are rino hunting, and it’s sorta fun. It’s funny, Obama winning has solidified conservatives better than ever. Before obama, we just bitched, now we’re active because our freedom is being ripped from us. It’s good to see the activism, it should have happened years ago, but it’s happening now. Freedom will win. Look at the odds our founders were up against. The super power England, only 30% support of the colonists, etc. But, freedom won. Freedom will prevail. It’s just so tough now. We can not falter now!
I said all throughout the 2008 campaign, that if Obama were elected, he would engender the greatest outpouring of OPPOSITION to an administration that this country has seen in a lifetime. This is exactly what's happening now.
Like you, I see this as a good thing. If McCain had won the election, our side would have continued to doze, or would have kept playing "politics as usual", when what was clearly needed was an historic showdown between traditional conservatism, and radical liberalism.
Predictably, Obama has pushed us to stand and fight - something that we've needed to do since before Clinton's time in office.
In a weird sort of way, Obama is actually a good development for our nation. He has brought the threat of total destruction of our constitutional form of government home to us like no one before him, and it has motivated us to get off our collective duffs to do something about it.

I believe that you're right, to the very core of my being.
