Today marks a major milestone in government transparency -- and an important lesson in the unintended consequences of such vigorous disclosure.

A lot of people visit the White House, up to 100,000 each month, with many of those folks coming to tour the buildings. Given this large amount of data, the records we are publishing today include a few “false positives” – names that make you think of a well-known person, but are actually someone else. In September, requests were submitted for the names of some famous or controversial figures (for example Michael Jordan, William Ayers, Michael Moore, Jeremiah Wright, Robert Kelly ("R. Kelly"), and Malik Shabazz). The well-known individuals with those names never actually came to the White House. Nevertheless, we were asked for those names and so we have included records for those individuals who were here and share the same names.

Its so transparent that you can’t see the transparency.
Who cares about a list of visitors. Real transparency would be seeing what is going on in meetings. Seeing the White House twist arms of insurance companies and pharmaceuticals. This is so shallow. Let’s see these open discussion of health care reform like Obama promised on C-SPAN.
It’s so transparent that they reveal 100 names out of 500,000 - mostly with ACORN like signatures.
I simply cannot believe there was ANOTHER Jeremiah Wright and ANOTHER William Ayers and ANOTHER Michael Jordan all in September.
What are the odds against such a coincidence? These people are most likely lying through their teeth. But why? Why not just tell the truth like they say they want to do?

What a coincidence! William Ayers, Malik Shabazz and others have people will the same name and they didn’t come to the White House.

The last paragraph of the White House blog read like satire; perhaps a Saturday Night Live skit in the making. Does anyone still watch that show?
The only thing that is transparent is their continual dishonest attempt to claim to be transparent. That, you can see right through.

To Dmartin. I cringe when “that one” uses the term “folks” too. It is so patronizing. To me, it is like he thinks he is far and above the common clay, and he uses “folks” to talk down to the unwashed masses to make it appear to them he’s one of them...instead of the elitist tool he is. Much like the way he talked down to ethnic groups when he was campaigning like he lived in the “hood” instead of his ill gotten mansion.

This is what happens when the MSM will back absolutely any absurdity the ‘bama promotes-nothing is beyond the pale. If the White House says the sun rises only because the ‘bama commands it, it becomes gospel to the serious looking people who look into the camera and lie to America every night. Orwell is spinning like a jet engine in his grave.
