Actually, it’s worse than that. We stabbed our buddy Musharraf in the back when he became a political liability back here - one guy who understood the threat of terrorism and was prepared to deal with it.

In any event. I think Hillary’s off the Obama reservation on this one. She, like her husband, has always been kinda hawkish (remember she was for invading Iraq before she decided to be against it). She can talk all the tough talk at Pakistan that she wants, but her boss won’t back her up on it.

"...In any event. I think Hillary’s off the Obama reservation on this one....."

The Clintons don't do anything without cold calculation. By positioning herself as a standup hawk with some balls, she just became the anti-Obama in foreign affairs.

Wanna bet she'll challenge Lord Zero for the nomination in 2012?

More to come from Herself, methinks. Watch for her to move stridently toward the middle so she can secure more of the Dem base, especially the Blue Dogs.

Zero’s getting ready to leave the Afghanistan/Pakistan theater and let the Taliban overrun the place and become a nuclear power.

First they said “things have changed in Afghanistan” and “we need a reliable partner”.

So Karzai said he would agree to new elections.

Oops...

So next they leaked that Karzai’s brother is a drug lord. They’ve got to get the guy under the bus somehow.

Now Hillary says the Pakistanis in in league with Al Qeada.

This is nothing to applaud folks. It is a prelude to U.S. defeat in the WOT.

Zero is so dumb he thinks our withdrawal from the region will approve his negotiating position with Iran.

You’re wrong on this issue. She is stating facts to truth. And rather than being the usually polite but obtuse diplomat, she’s unloaded bigtime on the Pakistanis, who’ve been thinking and behaving all along as though Americans are stupid and gullible.

Yup. Despite her typically Democratic whining about Bush to a Pakistani audience, she told the Pakistanis some things they should have been hearing years ago. This is why I'd have preferred Clinton in the WH over Obama - at least when it comes to foreign policy she's twice the man he is.

I know she’s right on issue. I was talking in terms of diplomacy. The administration didn’t want to engage them directly until recently when it’s leaked that Bush was invited to a dinner. They had been in power for more than 9 months, Al Qaeda had been roaming for long, and yet only now decided to tell what it is.
