Last year, a group with which I was affiliated invited a CAIR apologist (over my strong objections) to speak at a panel on religious freedom. During the Q&A, I asked him whether he thought sharia law would be a good idea in the United States. He hemmed and hawed about “historical context” and other such vagaries, then finally gave a telling answer: At this moment, Im content with the Constitution.
