Levi Johnston 'To Take Sarah Palin To Court' Over Child Custody
The teenager who fathered Sarah Palin's 10-month-old grandson has delivered a fresh blow to the former Republican vice presidential candidate by saying he will "definitely" take her to court to gain access to his child.
By Nick Allen in Los Angeles 30 Oct 2009
Levi Johnston, 19, who had a son called Tripp with Mrs Palin's eldest daughter Bristol, has been considering legal action for months but now says it is "inevitable" and that Mrs Palin is preventing him from seeing the boy. A court case over Tripp, during which Mr Johnston may make damaging allegations about Mrs Palin, could hamper any hopes she harbours of running for the White House in 2012.
"I'm up to the point where I can't see my kid again. I'm done. I'm sure we'll end up in court," Mr Johnston said in an interview with The Guardian today. "We're definitely going to court. They started letting me see him and everything was fine. But everything got bad again. So I said screw them. Bristol listens to her mom. Sarah says something, Bristol is going to follow."
Mr Johnston said there had been periods when he was able to see Tripp about once a week but at other times he has had almost no contact. He last saw his son several weeks ago, he said.
The public disclosure of Bristol's pregnancy during the 2008 US presidential election campaign came as an embarrassment to Mrs Palin's campaign. At the time Bristol was 17 and still at school.

What’s the tell?
“But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.” - Matthew 18:6
A stripper WOULD be a bad parent because they are not leading their child in the way of the Lord. They are of their father the devil. According to Jesus ANYONE who harms a child is deserving of CAPITAL PUNISHMENT because putting a millstone around their necks and throwing them into the sea would result in drowning.
Jesus would put a millstone around Levi’s neck and throw him into the depths of the sea.
There is no justification ever to hurt or harm or kill a child because all little ones belong to Jesus Christ.
Been there, done that.
I hope Bristol has gone after him for child support and has it on record that he is not paying for the care of his child.
Good luck with that one, you unemployed little punk.
I don’t think it’s possible to make a blanket statement “all courts would do”. There are some responsible judges out there still. I hope if Levi does sue that Sarah lines up a good legal team and has the case tried before a good judge.
This young punk really is evil. Backed out of the marriage, now pretending he wants to see taht baby. He just is being egged on to get more money and publicity out of this. He’s a low life. I predict he’ll end up in worse trouble he’s just getting started.
Sigh. As I stated in my previous post, the COURTS do not deem it a cause for an unfit parent. I, and the others on here were pointing that out while at the same time saying we do not agree with the opinion of the courts.
The courts do NOT take away children from mothers who are strippers or pose nude. The courts do not consider it unfit parenting.
I wish they would, but too many women make a living doing it so they wont.
That raises a few another question, namely, who in the Hollywood community is financing Levi Johnson’s so-called “career.” There are literally thousands of young actors with more talent—and better looks—than Levi, but he’s still getting jobs. The Palin connection only goes so far, at some point, even the most undemanding producers and directors want someone with a modicum of talent, and Levi Johnson ain’t it.
I’ll predict that Levi’s brillant career will last until he sues the Palin family. After he loses in court, his liberal sponsors will cast him aside, and he’ll be looking for work in the adult film industry.
You will also note that Mr. Johnson has never been asked about his child support payments. I’m guessing the teenage sperm donor has never paid a dime to support his kid.
Again,
I dont think its possible to make a blanket statement all courts would do. There are some responsible judges out there still. I hope if Levi does sue that Sarah lines up a good legal team and has the case tried before a good judge.
This guy is a scumbag; one of the worst. How is he going to explain to his son what scumbag he is.
I agree !
perhaps she will find one good judge. You will have to forgive me for having my faith shaken in the judiciary in this country as of late. I am still waiting for a birth certificate to be produced and not one good man or woman will take a case to ask a sitting president to produce a 10.00 registered document, or a school record, or a passport, or or or........
Maybe if she lined up Judge Judy, I would hold out some hope!
.
I believe his mother was arrested for drugs
Maybe she does but that doesn’t keep the need for it being in the court to get this settled if nothing more than for the sake of the child. Parental rights should be address and a document drawn up such that there isn’t much room for all the game playing that is going on. Once you get court orders then there is a benchmark for enforcement. Not this back and forth and grandstanding by both sides.
I never said it shouldn’t go to court. It should have months ago. And I haven’t seen any grandstanding by any Palin, Sarah or Bristol.
If a judge was smart enough to rule against that tramp Britney Spears and deny her the custody of her kids then I hold out hope that a similar good judge would deny Levi custody partly because of how indecent he has proved himself to be.
When you toss the child around in the media it is grandstanding as far as I’m concerned.
Last month on RedEye, the panel was talking about Levi’s plans to pose for Playgirl. Juliet Huddy called Levi a “cutie”.
[I believe his mother was arrested for drugs]
Finally took the time to read the article!!
He last saw his son several weeks ago, he said. Yes, his home environment would do it.
