Who Lied to (RINO) Newt Gingrich?
TCOTR Report.com ^ | Oct 29, 2009 | Michael Patrick Leahy

Posted on 10/29/2009 6:30:05 AM PDT by Leisler

"Perhaps more ominously for his ( Newt's )rapidly fading hopes for a 2012 Presidential bid, conservatives are beginning to question his integrity. His constant repetition of the false "she's locally selected" mantra seems as off message as Scozzafava's numerous well documented campaign missteps."

"Either Newt Gingrich is lying, or someone misled him."

But how can "the smartest guy in the room", with a reputation as a scholar and seeker of truth have been so easily misled about a set of facts that could be discerned with half an hour's worth of phone calls?"

According to Hoffman, there were 11 people, county GOPers, who had some kind of weighted votes. 3 of her buddies accounted for 43% of the voted, and 1 other vote put her over him. So even though she only got 4 votes, the way they were weighted, she won.

Newt knows what the process was. I don’t know what Steele knows.

Here's one summary (Nomination of Liberal Republican in New York 23rd Tainted by Breach of Trust) of the selection process (basically the opposite of a primary), described by the New York Post as "an obscenely corrupt political bargain by GOP bosses that sells out their party."

"Newt knows what the process was. I don’t know what Steele knows."

What kind of leadership does this show by these two?

How about checking facts before they go public on TV & spout information they know nothing about - or worse is that they DID know & deliberately are lying.

My opinion is that they are & were aware of the facts - but both are in favor of 'the big tent' philosophy for the Republican party.

Pournelle’s Iron Law of Bureaucracy states that in any bureaucratic organization there will be two kinds of people. First, there will be those who are devoted to the goals of the organization. Examples are dedicated classroom teachers in an educational bureaucracy, many of the engineers are scientists at NASA, even some agricultural scientists and advisors in the former Soviet Union collective farming administration.

Secondly, there will be those dedicated to the organization itself. Examples are many of the administrators in the education system, many professors of education, many teachers union officials, much of the NASA headquarters staff, etc.

The Iron Law states that in every case the second group will gain and keep control of the organization. It will write the rules, and control promotions within the organization.

Hey Newt, kindly go to pasture with your buddy McCain. I used to like you. Now I loath you. Just another stinking weak-spined GOP Socialist Lite sell-out...

Interesting update to the "obscenely corrupt political bargain by GOP bosses to sell out their party" story regarding the bungled nominee selection process for NY-23.

That’s my view of it as well.

mr. newt(ered) has received or is expecting to receive a large backdoor contribution to the gingrich Benevolent Society and Retirement Fund coffers for the donation of his unused principles.

Bet on it.

They have no other life. Politics for ugly people. Where else would they go where anyone would pay attention to them? No were.

They are like skanked out streetwalkers saying, “Yeah Baby, I got what you need. Fifty dollars”.

Who would buy such a line?

They were done twenty years ago, and still they get out every night under that street lamp at Republican and Conservative corner, showing cellulite thigh, ripped fishnet, and a promise of a good time.

The very same old GOP old hands opted for insider Jim Tedisco over Betty Little in that race and Tedisco got beaten, hindsight suggested Little would have won hands down. And, interesting enough, up pops Tom Reynolds to comment, again. It's argued that instead of any genuine insight into politics on the ground these days, they didn't want to repeat the Tedisco mistake, judged it based upon purely out-dated male/female lines and were going to go with a female no matter what.

Some national GOP types apparently just had to have a woman run for the NY - 23 seat. That's a serious problem for the GOP now, lunkheads in DC who think along the lines of identity politics, and look for groups they can pander to for votes. Those sorts need to be purged from any leadership roles because they are severely damaging the party.

Gingrich is an arrogant narcissist who failed in his role as Speaker of the House because he made everything all about him. He now appears with Pelosi and Sharpton to push the leftist agenda in hopes it will make him popular with the MSM. He is an attention whore who needs people to notice him no matter what problems he creates.

No, you are wrong in that you are mistaken in their motivations. It is bad for us, conservatives, and bad for the country. But for the RNC/GOP bureaucracy? It’s great!

I’ve always said the Republican Party was the go slow Democrat party, Democrat Lite party. So for the RNC, this is good.

They are just following along with the Democrats identity politics meme.

That is what the GOP/RNC is about. Getting elected. Then, getting re-elected. Elected for elections sake.

It’s the process, not the values.( not that there were many ).

Who is the Republican that calls our Democrat and Republican built government a racket? A lying, thieving, indebting machine?

No one.

No, I'm not wrong. You need to read what I said again, and not jump to conclusions. You agreed with me.
