“Rush says we need to re-take the GOP rather than going third party. I’m wondering if we wouldn’t be better off in the Conservative Party to once and for all dump the “Republican” name and the baggage that comes with it.”

I think we should take the NY model and nationalize it-should have done that long ago actually. Let’s have a national Conservative Party that can either endorse the Repub candidate or run someone as a Conservative Party candidate.

To me, this would be the best of both worlds as we would have a third party but use it to keep the Republicans in line.

Wrong. You would be keeping the Democrats in power.

I like "Conservative Forum" better than "Conservative Party". It sounds more like a gathering of thinkers and ideas and less like what we already have - a herd of money-chasing cattle who eat what the grass roots produce while dumping on the grass what cattle dump on grass, all the while being prodded by addle-brained party bosses on horseback.

You correctly understand the problem—the GOP is accountable to no one. Conservatives are plantation slaves.

Better idea would be to have the Conservative organization focus on the primaries, ensure that a solid conservative runs in as many Republican primaries as possible, and push conservatives to fully fund conservative candidates.

Make the Party Establishment irrelevant. Conservatives should cease to send money to any Republican Party organization, but only to individual conservative candidates.

Start with your local and State GOP organizations. Go to the meetings and become active in the organizations. Ferret out the rinos and replace them with “right wing extremists”. Do not be deterred or intimidated in this effort to purge then radicalize the republican party. Recruit others to the cause and overwhelm the existing “leadership” of your local and state republican party. Start today! Do not procrastinate this...

Just because your in what you think to be a “conservative” state or district does not mean you can coast on the work of others. Its probably even more important that you make sure that the leadership of your local and state GOP is as “extreme right” as humanly possible. Do not compromise on this, do not leave “good enough” alone. The folks in the already strong “conservative” portions of the states are going to be leading the fight against the marxist fedgov, so you better make sure you have the right people with the balls to do the job.

Do this in every town, county and state and we WILL control the GOP entirely. More than that... We will control a few states, the perfect weapons against the marxist fedgov.
