Alot of news, actually. In fact, I don't remember the Bush folks spreading so much news of anti-terrorist action in so short a period of time.

You should have asked WAZZDOWN??. But your instincts are right. Something smells. To many successes in such a short period of time. So you did actually ask a good question.
And the answer is: Obama's poll numbers are down. So the word goes out to the Attorney General to start closing out some of those U.S. terrorist plots that we've infiltrated over the years. So now we don't get those valuable intelligence inputs anymore. No more leads to other terrorist plots. But look on the bright side - we get to see Obama's ratings go up a tenth of a percent or so.
I think Obama is hoping we will not notice he is preparing to cede Afghanistan back to the taliban.
