This, from the president's chairman of the National Endowment for the Arts. Scott Johnson goes to town, in response.
Rocco Landesman, the NEA chairman, said, in part:
This is the first president that actually writes his own books since Teddy Roosevelt and arguably the first to write them really well since Lincoln. If you accept the premise, and I do, that the United States is the most powerful country in the world, then Barack Obama is the most powerful writer since Julius Caesar. That has to be good for American artists.
.
Everything went out
Electricity, cable, phone, internet
After powerlines were lifted and cut and spliced a new design of transformer was put up - the pole was on quite and angle
Finally 2 of the 3 transformers were closeby at one side of a big tree - it took 2 of the lifts/trucks and 2 men working slowly and carefully to swap in 2 new transformers - a dangerous task
This was a 13-hour - after the power company showed up
3 fire trucks, EMS, 5 police cars
The Hilton van driver told them he had hurt his neck - but for 3 hours he had walked around talkng on his cellphone - CYA I would say
I just reset the zip code that MSN uses to set time in my email and for and web links or cable schedules
Still 5:19
But it is really 6:19
Aggrevating!
That's like when a hurricane comes through and you are left sitting in the dark for days, a week, etc. Really bad in the Texas heat.
Shoot, they sent two firetrucks and several police cars when I had a ‘short’ in the wallplug behind my big screen TV! Lol, it was embarrassing.
Guess the Hilton guy wants to be ‘taken care of’...
