everybody was hoping he would violently resist so law enforcement could have shot him to death...the legal costs on the taxpayers are terrific on this kind of case.Law enforcement in that region really looked bad, if memory serves, and it was non-police citizens that basically captured this guy if I recall.
I remember the police chief in that case was an absolute bozo.

Yes. Chief Moose was looking for an “angry white male loner in a white van” despite numerous reliable reports of exact descriptions of the perps..
