I study eschatology (Bible prophecy) and one of my Sunday evening activities is to watch some of my favorite theologians who are experts in eschatology, among them Hal Lindsey, Dr. Jack Van Impe, and Dr. Hilton Sutton. For those who are not familar with Bible prophecy (and I urge everyone to start learning about it, but that will be another blog post), to date the track record of the Bible predicting prophetic events accurately has been astounding! The Bible is 500 for 500 in correctly predicting events so far and these prophecies were not vague like maybe that of Nostradamus or other alleged "prophets"--they were some specific prophecies that have been fulfilled, much to the dismay of aetheists and those who think the Bible is just a storybook. For example, for more than 2000 years Israel did not exist as a nation, and the Bible prophesied that it would again become a nation, that was fulfilled in 1948. That was the start of what we often term, the "end times", or the "last days" and is especially significant because Israel is the center of all Bible prophecy. Now since 1948, many other prophecies have been fulfilled (as I said 500)--let me fast track as the purpose of this post is not to lay out all the prophecies that have been fulfilled, but rather to look at something taking place this December 2009, not only as it may have something to do with Bible prophecy but with our great Country and freedom as we know it.

Everyone, I think it will help if you start getting some of your news from shows like the Hal Lindsey Report and Jack Van Impe Presents. These theologian/eschatologists are keeping so up to date with all that is going on not only with Obama and OUR government but with everything happening with Israel and the middle east, they are covering and are not afraid to report truth because it has to do with the Bible and God. It is a great source of info plus you won’t be bored! I advocate this because since I started studying prophecy I have moved into such a high level of relationship with God that it is unreal and I have been rewareded by God in all of my life including finances. When you see all the things that have been fulfilledin the prophecy, it will make you have even greater faith and will make you stay on the right course even better than ever. I know some people find it hard to believe that Jesus may be returning very soon, I know in my own family I have people saying I am crazy and that it won’t happen for 20 years or longer—this they say when they don’t ever even read the bible or go to church! Many are afraid of this, but no one should be because if anyone has our backs it is the Lord Jesus!
500 for 500. The Bible maybe, eschatologists never!
Right, the Bible is the authority, which is what I said. Eschatologists study the prophecies in order to know if the prophecies have come true-just like God expects us to do, most of them are literal interpretations, e.g. God says what He means and means what He says. Prophecies in the Bible are always confirmed by other prophecies in the Bible (the perfect cross reference system). Many people twist the verses to suit themselvves or take them out of context. God did not make the prophecies so that we could not understand them, and he gave us teachers (eschatologists) who delve into the original Hebrew and Greek texts to clarify things. After all our English text Bible’s are translated from those originals.
I watched this last week . Superb .
i’ve seen it. pretty scary.
