From the NY Post article:
“Scozzafava is the hand-picked candidate of former state GOP chairman Joseph Mondello.”

So if the republican supports abortion, homosexual marriage and whatever looney leftist position there is, why should anyone vote for her over the liberal democrat running against her? Is Newt totally dense or has he been bought off? It's his kind of thinking that's turned the GOP into a minority party. If it wasn't for the wishy-washy go-along-to-get-along approach of the last GOP candidate we wouldn't be faced with a Kenyan Marxist usurper in the WH along with a socialist majority in congress. Yeah Newt, keep supporting RINO's and you'll compromise us right out of our sovereignty.
You'd think in Newt's research on G. Washington he'd have learned something.
To: Sub-Driver
Newt, you egotistical jerk. I hope the conservatives in the GOP are able to put all of the RINOs into the dustbin of history. But what a loaded term you used. We are not going to actually kill any of those people like the Commie’s do in their purges.
To: YankeeReb
Electing a lib “republican” is worse than electing a democrat.
Lib “republicans” give “bi-partisan” cover to the looney left to implement socialism.

He’s trying to kiss up to the party because he hopes they choose him as the RINO that will win the nomination in 2012.

I dont have to agree with a candidate 100% but I would prefer to agree with them at least 50%.
That RINO in the new york race I agree with about 1%

“Gingrich called Scozzafava a liberal Republican for her support of gay marriage and abortion rights. But he defended those positions as in-step with her district and her predecessor, former Rep. John McHugh (R-N.Y.), who was tapped to be President Barack Obamas Army Secretary.”
Except she is not in-step with John McHugh, who is very pro-life and against gay marriage:

"So I say to many conservative friends who suddenly decided whether they're from Minnesota, or Alaska, or Texas, they know more than the upstate New York Republicans? I don't think so," he added. And I say to you Newt, you don't know s*** either. You are so out of touch with everyday Americans it's pathetic. Who made Newt the head of anything including conservatives?!
Obviously, upstate New Yorkers agree with your 'conservative friends' from Minnesota, or Alaska, or Texas since Hoffman is leading your socialist candidate appointed by the 'leaders' in the Republican party.
Maybe people are sick and tired of having the 'leaders' of a party pick their candidates!

Newt, Newt, Newt...who would have thought one of the first we’d want to purge would be you?
As soon as you stop thinking in terms of your name as a commercial enterprise- you may remember the principles you used to tout..

“Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich (R-Ga.) late Monday had some choice words for Republicans supporting Conservative Party party candidate Doug Hoffman (N.Y.), accusing them of conducting a “purge” of the GOP.”
Yes Newt, we are the same folks that CHEERED OUR BACKSIDES OFF when that pr*ck Spectre jumped to the Democrats. We are NOT Repub-likkins, we are CONSERVATIVES....you know, like you USED TO BE!

Newt, when the establishment candidate is a large blockage of crap, a purge is a perfectly healthy thing for the party.

"I remember when Gingrich was smart."
I think he chose the "frontal lobotomy" instead of the "bottle-in-front-a-me."

If Hofmann has a legit shot at winning I’m all for him. But Newt is right that going the third party route is the way to screw yourself.
Take a look at Jersey where the “Independent” joker is siphoning off votes from Christie in tight race against a terrible Democrat.
