George Bush would not have done so. He is a man of honor and decency.

So decent and honorable that he won't whisper a hint of criticism about his successor; letting instead "dishonorable" and "indecent" Dick Cheney do his dirty work huh? /sarc

The fact that W is following the time-honored tradition of refraining from public criticism of his successor even though Jimmy Carter, bill clinton, and algore regularly ignored it is a testament to W's honor and decency.

Perhaps George Bush believes it would be a losing proposition for him to defend himself, he is probably better served by standing back and allowing the nation to realize its own grevious error. I doubt that he has much control over Cheney one way or the other at this point.

You’ve got to be kidding. You’re trashing Bush because he refuses to behave like a Democrat? At least try to get a clue.
