The Republic died long ago when FDR threatened the Courts and the Justices capitulated. SS was deemed a TAX. So ANYTHING Congress does has precedent on it`s side, it`s just a tax.

But there are those on the Right who insist that none of this is Socialism/Marxism/Fascism or even ill INTENTIONED. That to make such charges turns of moderates, loses elections, and causes outrage from the Obama administration.
The author assumes capitalism is something that ceases to exist when bad times come. The fact of the matter is that even our current recession is capitalism in action, albeit, the part we should be trying to avoid rather than welcoming with bloody open arms.
It’s yet another example of how little understood capitalism really is.

this was posted extensively at the time. it was an anti-American attack then, and it’s an anti-American attack now.
But it does show that the russians would love to be the standard-bearer of the world’s only functioning economic system.
And it does show that the cold war was NOTHING to do with ideology, merely the standard war between nations/ethnic groups such as has EVER dominated the world.
