Before we try to explain Beck’s blind spot re the BoM, we should try to explain his blind spot re Mitt Romney.

Speaking of Mormonism...

Way, way back b4 the I’Net, I had a book on “cults” with one chapter in it that insisted that young Joe Smith had spent a few days in a NY jail with a traveling preacher who had been writing a book. The preacher made a profound impression on Smith.

It seems Smith went free a few days later and the preacher found he was then missing his manuscript. The author thought that that manuscript was the basis of Smith’s beliefs from that time on.

I have since (lately)attempted to determine the name and author of that book w/o success.

Anyone know of it?

Good ol' Mitt is back on the Marriott board of directors again.

I am a Mormon and would vote for Romney for Congress but not as President. He would be a great Senator or Vice President and would get us out of our current financial mess by using correct principles. He has flip flopped over a number of issues, abortion being one of them.
When he ran against Ted Kennedy years ago he tried to out liberal Ted.
A matter of interest, Ronald Reagan had 16 Mormons in his cabinet and inner circle.
