FL 2010: Republican Senate Nomination May Come Down to a Hug [Crist-Obama hug]

Marco Rubio capitalizes on a photo of Charlie Crist hugging Barack Obama.
BY CARLOS MILLER
Marco Rubio has less political experience than Charlie Crist. And he hasnt raised nearly as much money in his run against the governor for U.S. Senate. And he still lags behind the governor in polls leading up the November race.
But he hasnt hugged Barack Obama.
And that just may be his ace in the hole.
The former republican House Speaker has seized on a February photo that shows Crist hugging Obama as to why he is the better candidate.
And it appears to be working because he has recently swept 12 republican straw polls, tripled his fundraising and cut the governors lead in the polls by half.
Now the question remains: Will the hug go down as The Hug? As it did for John McCain when he hugged George W. Bush during the 2004 presidential election, which is described as the defining moment of McCains career?
Only time will tell but one thing is certain. Rubio is not the only republican who believes Crist is a closet liberal. The hug only seemed to cement that sentiment.

Christ is a typical RINO. He would immediately become part of the Snowe/Collins/McCain/Voinovich/Grahamnesty SELL-OUT team if elected. This we DONT need.
Bingo
He needs to tax a pledge not to join the Gang of... RINO wing of the party.

I googled, have no idea what it is, but it made the point. W came in, Jeb and Crist etc were supposed to campaign, Crist bowed out at the last second and hooked up with McCain in Miami.
Crist also screwed Mitt for McCain in Florida last year, last minute.
Doesnt this outcome make Charlie Crist, running for Florida governor, look prescient in refusing to be seen with Bush on the final day of the campaign? That was one of the delightful bits of news yesterday. Bush plans a FL. campaign trip solely to bolster Crist and the latter is the one who asked him to do it. And what does Crist do? He not only stiffs Bush, but he does it by joining John McCain at another rally! And guess who won the governors race? You guessed it, Crist. Smart guy.

I did not like Crist before the hug.
I do not like his air of smug.
I do not like the orange tan.
I do not like the RINO man.

i think that mel martinez’s election and following step down was planned from the start for crist. some forces have planned for him to hold this seat for a long time. this should be stopped.

BS!! He raised the tax on cigarettes to 1.00 per pack, AFTER Obongo already raised it. It drove Hava-a-Tampa in Ybor CIty to South America. I think they had been there since around the turn of the century.
