We had better get off this “pro-choice” vs “non pro-choice” criteria in determining who is really a conservative and who is not. Our most important factor in choosing a conservative is their philosophy and “track record” in protecting our freedoms and support of the Constitution as originally written.
Time and time again, I watch the “choice” issue flaunted against true conservatives and patriots who don’t actively espouse the choice issue and are eventually “thrown out with the bath water.”
Freedom has to (and should be) our first priority. Once we regain our freedoms (if that’s possible) we can address the choice issue. Unless we get off this requirement to quell free choice we will never get the freedom to later address it and make the changes desired.
Now, in the case of KBH, she is part of the old “go along to get along” crowd in Washington. She has been tainted by the opulence of big government and is simply taking an ego trip to enhance her narcissistic view of herself. Once they go to Washington, they are bad seed.
Excellent post, DH.
It is NOT pro-choice vs non pro-choice, but rather, pro-murder vs non pro-murder.
On November 12 the reconstituted jury convicted Scott Peterson of first-degree murder with special circumstances for killing Laci and second-degree murder for killing the unborn baby she carried.
What part of this living, breathing human being do you not understand?
Also, for someone with a sign up date of 1997, you should know:
As a conservative site, Free Republic is pro-God, pro-life, pro-family, pro-Constitution, pro-Bill of Rights, pro-gun, pro-limited government, pro-private property rights, pro-limited taxes, pro-capitalism, pro-national defense, pro-freedom, and-pro America. We oppose all forms of liberalism, socialism, fascism, pacifism, totalitarianism, anarchism, government enforced atheism, abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, racism, wacko environmentalism, judicial activism, etc.
Any politician or individual who will compromise on the protection of the unalienable right to life will compromise on anything at all. Constantly.
Hence my tagline.
If you're pro-baby-killing you're no conservative.
This argument has been used for the last 40 years (the lesser of two evils argument) and where has it gotten us?
To me, if a person does not respect the most basic right - the right to life - and MOST ESPECIALLY - does not believe it is imperative to protect an innocent baby's right to life - well then, THERE'S NO WAY THEY CAN BE A CONSERVATIVE. And I'm not talking in a social conservative kind of way - I'm talking about our God-given Constitutional rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
This stuff about just getting an (R) in office, and then we'll worry about the other stuff is not working.
yes, she is. Now she is using libturd tactics in a teaser commercial.
OMG, what is he not telling us? We'll tell you in a few weeks.
