There used to be quite a few Jews in the Detroit area, including my immediate family. If you look at the websites showing "the fabulous ruins of Detroit," there is a portion which shows pictures of all the Detroit synagogues which are now black churches. There may be ONE synagogue left in Detroit.

I lived in different parts of the Detroit area until I was 10. When whites fled, there were quite a few Jews among them... because they could see part of what was coming, and they didn't want to live in a hellhole where they'd be targets.
