The Detroit ruins sites are seriously sobering.

I find the Detroit ruins sites to also be profoundly sad.

The Dimocrat and other corrupt politicians, unions, etc. ruined that city.

I could never have afforded a mansion in that city, but I look at some of the beautiful apartment buildings and normal-sized houses just rotting away or being torn down, and I wish I could have seen their insides, to see how it might have felt to live in them.

In particular I like the pictures of the ones with oddly-shaped rooms and windows (such as turrets or cupolas), where the building is either red brick or stone.

I will say, though, that I'm not a fan of using tax dollars to subsidize restoration of these buildings.

The folks who took videos of the Detroit ghetto areas, showing block after block after block of blasted landscape, with few houses still standing, were particularly brave, and I salute them. It's my understanding that these areas are no-go zones for any outsiders.
