Partisan Dem Ellen Ratner: White House War on Fox "outrageous" and unprecidented (Fox News Watch)
Fox News Watch | October 24, 2009

Posted on 10/24/2009 6:04:46 PM PDT by Stultis

I'm a liberal. I've been in favor of President Obama. But I've got to tell you, it's outrageous. And as a member of the White House press corps, it is a matter of who they let in to the morning gaggle, who they let in to breifings, and its -- I've never seen anything like it. And, listen, I bashed the Bushs administration every day on Fox News. And, you know what? They were kind to me, they let me into everything, they never excluded anybody.

For once in my life, Ellen Ratner and I were in agreement. She was quite forceful on the issue of access.

I bashed the Bushs administration every day

Actually she just said, "I bashed the Bushs every day." But of course she meant the administration. Meant to put that in brackets.

First Helen Thomas, then that Jake whatisname from ABC, and now Ellen Ratner.

Who’s up next? Keep it coming people. This is important! Maybe the most important thing you’ll ever say in your journalistic career.

‘Course she said it on Fox, so it’s not “real” news.

From what I understand there are going to be NO WH/Adminstration representatives on any of the talk show this Sunday.

They may be afraid of some blowback by the media on their war with Fox News.

"And, you know what? They were kind to me"
**********

That's the operative word: kind.

That is one thing the thugs from Chitown are not. Their phony smiles don't fool anyone who is hip to their stealth agenda.

"Oh, what I want to know is
Are you kind?"

This is good, so far. But I wonder how long it will be before the WH calls together another gaggle of the chosen press to reiterate their talking points, with a baseball bat, not to follow Fox News’ leads?

Carrot/stick.
Except the stick is a Chicago BB bat.

I think the dems and the letter nets have figured out if the adm. succeeds in isolating FNC it will only make them stronger. That's the last thing the drivebys want at this point. That would explain their recent "support" of FNC against the adm.

Their "support" was probably more self preservation of the DBM than anything else,IMHO.

Maybe one liberal gets it, maybe not.

Nixon v. Obama.

Richard Nixon's shenanigans were existential threats to our Republic? What he was accused of would shock today's America? Even in light of the antics of the 1990s and beyond.. really?

I got a movie to sell you, "The French Line".

1953 Headline:

Disgusting! Can the producer, not the movie!
End of Our Morals. Vulgar Costume, Vulgar Bath Scene, Dance!
"Jane Russell is almost nude, one-piece costume reveals skin below her waist."

Los Angeles, 1953. "Jane Russell in 3D, it'll knock [bleep] your eyes out" says the promotion. It's the end of Hollywood morals say some. "Ban it!" . . . .

. . .

2009 Headline:

Hollywood: "Don't insult us. We're not 'The French Line'"
1953 Movie Was Way Overboard, "Glad It Was Banned"
"'Liberals for Morality' denounce immoral 1953 movie at "Let's F*** Til We Drop" premier

It’s hard to know what the thinking is. They have no integrity. They lie constantly. They have no problem with that. So it’s not the integrity of information that they are concerned about.

I haven’t figured it out. Perhaps they think it just makes the Won look bad.
