It is interesting how many people have been given Cipro or Levaquin for a minor bacterial infection or not even a bacterial infection. These antibiotics were developed to fight the “designer bacterias” but doctors just hand them out like candy and now they are not effective against the very bacteria they were meant to kill. I guess I need to shut up on this subject. This posting is on the flu and I have managed to pull an Obama trick...putting focus on something else that minimizes the focus on the subject. HA!
This ploy of Obama to make the flu a national emergency has taken our attention and the attention of the media...hmmmmm...seems it has worked in some regard. Thanks for sharing your note...jacquej....

How right you are. I went to my doctor with low back pain and constant urge to urinate. She immediately said I had a bladder infection and wrote me out an Rx for Cipro. She said after taking the Cipro go get a urine test to see if it cleared up the bladder infection. As I left with the Rx for Sipro in hand I thought you (doctor)are nuts. I am going to get a urine test done before I take the Cipro. Sure enough I didn't have a bladder infection. I now have a new doctor.
