I’m also taking Vit 3, 2,000 IU/day. I’m also taking Vit C with bioflavinoids and Olive Leaf 18% with enzymes. These both boost the immune system also. I also take colloidal silver every other day, one drop per 10 lbs of body weight. From what I understand, almost everyone nowadays is low in Vit D.

Not only secondary infections but it is now being researched that administering Aspirin may have contributed as well by way of pulmonary edema, an abnormal build up of fluid in your lungs that can be caused by taking too much aspirin.

There wasn’t a whole lot to offer back then by way of treatment.

SARS, Sudden Acute Respiratory Syndrome was a dusty relic in the corner of the etiological closet up until Jim Henson (Muppets) stepped off an overseas airplane and collapsed on the tarmac; even after emergency evacuation to hospital and aggressive treatment he died from pulmonary edema and an autopsy was inconclusive.

Epidemic averted, business as usual for many years until an Asian national developed similar symptoms, followed by others still with no discrete pathogens — at the drop of a diagnosis and a dollop of panic, our current understanding of SARS was born.

We are no more informed now than then but far more certain, and such is the way of worry.

Now, having been caught in the enervating web of worry since 9/11/2001, every sneeze, blown-out tire or sniffling child is enough to send us all running to the nearest corner; it’s become quite crowded and hard to breathe in here.

I want my mommy!!!

My immediate reaction was not that they could release the Tamiflu, but administer the vaccination to every child in public school.

Yep. If you are not exposed to germs early in your life and allowed to play in the dirt. You are going to one ticking time bomb later in life, with no immunities.

Do you have a point? As relates to my post? As I said, Obama’s motives are seriously suspect.

I don’t know about this. What about those onions that we buy that have been sitting in the store. Are they also collecting germs or bacteria as folks pass by them or finger them looking for the right onion and leaving who knows what on them? Think about all the people who are in that store daily.

It’s great in knocking out the virus quickly

That it is... Being the noid parent I am, I took my other child to the clinic the morning she woke with 104 and a sore throat earlier this year. She was prescribed Tamiflu (when she had a test positive for flu A, subsequentially h1n1), as were her sibling and I, due to our asthma.

She went from severe to normal in 24 hours. We didn't get sick.

Good suggestion. I'm going to get some stitches removed this week, I'll ask for a preemptive script and fill it. Thanks.

BTW, I'm amused by the scare stories regarding the use of Tamiflu... subterfuge?

What’s Vit 3?

I suspect the FReeper tried to type the number D and hit 3 by accident. It would make sense. I have read in medical journals that 2000 D a day during months with little sunlight = no flu or colds. Of course, hand washing after being in public, no rubbing the eyes and nose goes a long way too.

I finally got in the habit last year of never touching my eyes or nose with my hands. Took a little while but now its second nature.

Hope this link I have posted goes through, hope folks read. Very imformative posting by a medical doctor who has done extensive Vitamin D research.
