Know some folks from Destin. They think Tampa Bay's crazy compared to Destin. Anyhow, I found Bambi's Proclamation. It looks like some confidentiality rules will be bent. That would be bad if they told employers that their employee was sick, etc. Here it is.

If Obama is going to declare an emergency, he should declare one on these bacterias. You're absolutely right. The CDC itself said that MRSA is the most rapidly growing contagious health problem in the USA.
This whole swine flu crisis is just a ruse to accomplish something else. One thing i'm sure of and that is that Obama doesn't give a DAMN how many people are dying from anything. Not cancer, not heart attacks, not MRSA, and certainly not swine flu.

Why is this different than any other flu? It's more contagious and contagious *before* you get the symptoms. It also seems to "go after" a different demographic. Young adults, especially pregnant women, rather than older folks, or the very young.

Well, it was not a good look for c-span. An eye patch would have been nice.

This is an excuse to ram his health care agenda on us. Make a big issue and cry epidemic. He is such a transparent phony, it’s maddening.

I think this has more to do with population control than autism.

This may be a new way to smear people at their work by identifying them as lepers so to speak. The object imo is to bring down the economy. Maybe the unemployment rate isn’t high enough for the White House. Smearing people who still have jobs might be part of the master plan.

There are signs everywhere that there is no seasonal flu available here in Texas as well.
People who don’t know better went and got that one thinking it will protect against H1N1

Very serious VRSA is. My friend had VRSA on her thigh bone, turned the ball into sponge, 4 months of drugs that made her goofy and a total hip replacement.
That was 2 years ago. Today she is 99, wakes up every morning hugs the day, looks outside and says “it’s gonna be a wonderful day!” and then gets up.
She has two speeds: Forward and faster.
Hence my tag line: Don’t take life so seriously... You’ll never live through it

I whole heartedly agree with you! Obama’s world stops at the end of his rather ample nose.

Would it lead to a mandatory ban on large public gatherings such as tea parties?
It seems to be centered on loosening some of the bureaucratic red tape around hospitals:
Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius now has authority to bypass federal rules when opening alternative care sites, such as offsite hospital centers at schools or community centers if hospitals seek permission.
Some hospitals have opened drive-thrus and drive-up tent clinics to screen and treat swine flu patients. The idea is to keep infectious people out of regular emergency rooms and away from other sick patients.
Hospitals could modify patient rules for example, requiring them to give less information during a hectic time to quicken access to treatment, with government approval, under the declaration.
It also addresses a financial question for hospitals reimbursement for treating people at sites not typically approved. For instance, federal rules do not allow hospitals to put up treatment tents more than 250 yards away from the doors; if the tents are 300 yards or more away, typically federal dollars won't go to pay for treatment. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20091024/ap_on_go_pr_wh/us_obama_swine_flu;_ylt=AlUEA1Rce8BrbLRuNQsMT1qs0NUE;_ylu=X3oDMTMwYzUzc2k3BGFzc2V0A2FwLzIwMDkxMDI0L3VzX29iYW1hX3N3aW5lX2ZsdQRjcG9zAzEEcG9zAzIEcHQDaG9tZV9jb2tlBHNlYwN5bl90b3Bfc3RvcnkEc2xrA29iYW1hZGVjbGFyZQ--

That’s a good article if we only had a reputable president. This jerk has already broken laws and suspended the Constitution. With the number of things he’s done that he ‘can’t’ do, who knows where this is going?
