The Loin in Winter: Hefner Reflects, and Grins (NY TIMES Tries out "People" Model)
NY Times ^ | 10/23/09 | Brooks Barnes

Posted on 10/24/2009 6:53:11 AM PDT by Titus-Maximus

LOS ANGELES — Hugh Hefner leaned back on a red loveseat, the saggy one in the study of his infamous mansion here, and interlocked his fingers behind his head. A visitor had asked — more like shouted, since he has trouble hearing — a question about mortality.

At 83, does he think about it?

In a word, no. Mr. Hefner, the legendarily libidinous founder of Playboy, the prophet of hedonism, does not believe that his denouement is at hand.

He doesn’t act like it, either. He still works full days on his magazine, flies to Europe and Las Vegas, pops Viagra, visits nightclubs with his three live-in girlfriends — each young enough to be his great-granddaughter — and is working with the producer Brian Grazer on a film.

“This is one of the very best times of my life,” he said, grinning, dressed in pajamas and slippers. “It’s even better, richer than people know.”

The NY Times stoops to put this Viagra engorged pimp with his three live-in girlfriends (re:whores) on its front page. I don't know who is worse, the Denizen of Dirt, or the dying Gray Whore of 42nd street. They are feeding off each other like infected vampires.

Flush the two of them.

I find it surprising, that the champion of women's rights glosses over the fact that three young girls are living with him. What is their relationship about? How can three young girls be his girlfriend at the same time? What? Is he some kind of crypto-Muslim polygamist creep who treats women like farm animals? What signal does that send to teenage girls who are pushed to read the Times by their intellectual superiors. How is this explained to them? And what of the teenage boys who read it - does it mean that this porn pimp should be emulated?

They are bringing everything down - reducing us to soulless animals and Hefner has sought to do that his whole life.

Mr. Hefner . . . does not believe that his denouement is at hand.

Someone Else may have the final say on that.

three young girls are living with him.

I think this term should at the very least be reserved for girls under the age of consent.

His present bimbos are 23, 20 and 20.

And what of the teenage boys who read it - does it mean that this porn pimp should be emulated?

Teenage boys need no encouragement from Hefner to fantasize about multiple gorgeous women as bedmates.

Pornography and lack of God because of it are the cause of all the raping killing of children. You have a lot to answer for, Hughie.

Is Playboy technically porn? They don’t depict sex acts I believe.

You didn’t answer my question. Is the depiction of nudes porn? I thought you had to have sexual activity for that.

My definition of porn starts with Viagra commercials.

In the 1960’s Playboy had a regular feature called “Sex in the Cinema” which depicted and celebrated sexual acts in the movies.

He'll be 90 in a few years - and his ideas - like his shrunken body - are relics of the past...

He thinks he's a cool "cat"? That term was "in" in the 1950's more than a half century ago. Will these people ever get off the stage?

How about ads for feminine hygiene products and ads for steamy R rated films?

“Teenage boys need no encouragement from Hefner to fantasize about multiple gorgeous women as bedmates.”

Yeah, but now they are viewed as heroes for it! So go out and do as much as you can to as many as you can, have no check on your behavior. I think we know where that leads......

Yes. Technically and actually.

Any whacking-off material is pornography, whether it depicts sex acts or not.

I stopped watching Hannity some time back, but, on occasion, as I am scanning through channels I drop into his show. One evening, within the last few months, I jumped in as he was announcing his upcoming panel discussion. When I heard that his list included Christine (I think that’s her first name.) Hefner, “former CEO of ‘Playboy’ magazine”, I was reminded once again of the reasons I stopped watching that jerk’s show.
