Is Newt a true conservative? He jumped on the global warming train.
Newt’s problem is that he’s looking at the empty seat on the floor of the house, instead of the person who’s going to fill it. He doesn’t seem to realize that if she’s elected she’s going to be a reliable vote for the Democrats regardless of the “R” after her name.
I wish he would jump ship and swim far away. He is a "pseudo conservative" and a hack who is only in it for the money.
I am afraid that from now on, after this endorsement, Newt Gingrichs’ reasoning shall always be suspect in my mind.
Yesterday there was a thread where lots of Freepers were ponying up support for Hoffman. From the thread, looks like we gave a couple of thousand in a few hours.
Any news on how his fund raising is going?

Newt would do very well to come out and say simply “I was wrong.” There’s no shame in that at this point. Come out and say, “yeah, we’re starting to get it; we realized the GOP can get behind this guy and we can help him win.”
Why would Newt jump ship? Why do people assume he is conservative, because he said so 15 years ago? The broken promises of 94 have killed his party, and his global warming and pragmatic schtick scream of country club bluebloods. Unfortunately, Georgians have done a pretty poor job of sending Conservatives to DC with the senators. Maybe they are worried Atlanta will outvote them, but it is pitiful.
And where Im from (Tx) were doing just as bad with Kay “Ill vote woman anything before Ill vote conservative and I wanna be guvner” Bailey Hutchinson and Big Jon “establishment” Cornyn.
Why do the lib states get lib senators, but our conservative states like SC, Ga, Tx, Ut, Mt, Az...get these pansies?
While they are abandoning their following of McCain/Rinos, now that they know the Rinos are losing stinks, maybe they should demand that McCain show them the copy of Obama’s birth certificate and other records they he claims to have used to verify Obama’s NBC status. Also they should ask McCain what laws he used to decide a NBC is someone born to foreing parent(s).

A bit of quandary for Newt.
He should avoid the issue of NY 23 and focus on other Conservative concerns. I’m not interested in hearing an explanation, and neither should he betray the candidate he already endorsed.
Scozzafava also supports CARD CHECK and the Porkulus Bill.
A complete waste of time to support or endorse her.
