This bill is a central element of Congress’ overhaul of financial regulations. It would establish a Consumer Financial Protection Agency with the authority and accountability to supervise, examine, and enforce consumer financial protection laws. Financial transactions falling under the agency’s jurisdiction would include mortgages, credit cards, student loans, auto loans, payday loans, and more. The agency would work in these areas to ban deceptive practices, ensure the safety and fairness of new consumer financial products that come on to the market and, generally, to promote transparency, simplicity, fairness, accountability, and access.

The Republican members of the Financial Services Committee (with one absence)all voted against the amendment to H.R. 3126 along with a few Democrats.
I had to read this twice, I thought it was satire! So, I’ve said all along that the only thing that will stop these communists is civil war. They do not represent the productive citizens of this country, and they don’t care.They don’t care because there are no consequences for thier criminal actions
I’m starting to fear we won’t last till the next election, and if we do, it will be so corrupted and fraudulent it won’t matter.
I don’t know- I’ve been gone all day- just catching up on the latest nightmares. Where is the MEDIA checking on this? (rhetorical question)
BTW , I had a real nice "personal Line of credit" at wells. It was a simple rate and it could be easily paid down, well,.... just got a notice in the mail that they are converting it into a credit card type loan, nothing personal they said, I've made every payment and have hi score but it's just the times they say ,.. "because they can"

there is no way I will ever be honest on my taxes EVER, EVER NEVER again, I will scrub them for every penny and have reciepts to back it all up. .......OH yeah , almost forgot , commies don’t use tax incentives, they will remove all tax breaks...Oh well back to the drawing board

They are dishonest in Washington. More than dishonest, they are committing generational theft. I will do whatever I can to not pay them a single cent. I have stopped buying expensive things. Doing a lot of barter. Many people are wanting to deal in cash only transactions. I had my air conditioner cleaned and they offered me a 20% discount for cash. Landscaper came to trim the palms. He said it would be 150.00 to do 4 of them or he would do 4 plus a small one, 5 for 100. cash. Easy choice for me.

WoW! A relative told me today, that an automotive repair shop told her if she’d pay cash, no taxes plus a discount. They apparently have a good rep, and do good work. The avg quote was between 700-1000. This guy said 625 or 650, I forget which.

This isn’t a joke, but for now it’s just an in-committee vote. It seems unlikely that this will ever become part of any law, but it isn’t impossible - not these days, anyway.
Exactly, they are doing it all over. That way they don’t report it, the gov’t gets no taxes. I’ve heard of some other things they are doing too but I don’t want to post it here on the open forum. I don’t want to give the government a heads up on the loopholes businesses are using. It’s incredible how creative they can be.

So true. Unfortunately it’s evident everyone is waiting for someone else to say “Let’s Roll”. Day after day we are being destroyed, but no one seems to be able to decide when to say when. By the time we do...it will be too late...and they are counting on it.
