BTW, was this sent from a personal email .... or from a company email. If it is the later, you might want to communicate with the owner of the domain and ask to speak with their legal department ... so you can determine if this communicated threat is their official position and if the individual was acting as an agent of that company.
This should be passed on to a prosecutor.
