The days are supposed to be getting shorter.
I received approval today to join a new technical committee being formed. It's about to the point where I am going to have to write them all down. But this one at least will tend to have its meetings out West (usually California), so I won't lose a day just jetting there.
Good night all. I don’t expect to be back tomorrow, possibly not before Thursday evening, and maybe not at all before Saturday depending upon how things go.
I just noticed your tag line. You know, I think politicians are cheaper (at least most of ‘em anyway). There may soon be a run on rails though, so you may want to be long on those for an investment plan ;)
As far as coffee goes for cutting heavy liquor, brandy is my choice and I’d never cut it with coffee...
Who is this person?
Good morning!
No Cheshire Cat he!
That is a wide cat!
I don’t lift anything that I can get someone else to lift for me! :oþ
I say we have a rum party here on FR when inFidel Castro bites the cane crop. It’s only fitting we give him the proper send-off, dontchathink?
My goodness! If that cat were orange, no one would know the difference. LOL!
Good morning, TC!
Absolutely! And I’ll fax my pork roast and black beans to Darksheare so he can upload it to share with everyone.
Good morning! Frank is wiggling, Ash is sleeping, and Shannon sees something the rest of us don’t. Maybe she’s spotted Pat ... I haven’t seen him since sometime yesterday morning.
This stuff may make you change your mind:
“WARNING - Not to be taken internally!” - Slings and Arrows
In 12 cup drip percolator pot, fill to 6 cup mark with water.
In filter, put 6 heaping scoops of coffee.
Medium roast works best, just make sure it’s a robust blend.
Found a maxwellhouse ‘medium roast’ that was rather anemic.
Put pinch of salt in filter, about as much as it would take to cover the surface of a dime with one even layer.
This keeps the coffee from tasting burned too quickly, it doesn’t age well brewed this way.
Brew, recirculate if need be, usually not.
Add sugar and dairy creamer.
Creamora and coffeemate are not recommended unless you like the heart racing that Ranger Pudding gives.
That, and the nondairy creamer will give you both a headache and a buzz with the coffee.
I usually put about 8 spoons of sugar in this stuff, it ends up being like Russian Kava, thick and sweet with that bitter overtone to it.
Oh, and I am NOT responsible for seeming demonic possession of the coffeepot, or the coffeepot ending up acting as if it has been damaged.
Be sure NOT to add creamora or coffeemate to the brew, unless you LIKE ranger pudding style heart racing.
When I brew that stuff for myself, I recirculate the stuff to brew a second time, but that’s me for my own personal enjoyment, and it may wreck the coffeepot.
Don’t forget the salt, it’s important to the finished brew.
Pat slipped between teh threads of teh fabric of reality, eh?
That is worrisome.
I think I heard his voice earlier this morning, asking if he could wear his Darth Vader costume, but I didn’t actually see him.
Oh, there he was in the library-book closet. I didn’t think he could fit in there with all the library books, not to mention reading in the dark.
Reading in the dark can be very bad.
Means he has eyes that emit light, or he sees the colors beyond.
(Or he cheated and has a flashlight.. sneaky them kids.)
We never have any working flashlights, because Pat takes them apart and does weird things with the batteries.
Ooh, insidious plans.
Wonder what they are?
(I detonated the backyard once. Burned quite a bit of grass to ash. Never lost a finger or toe despite my parents warning us not to play with splodies.)
I guess it’s a good thing that few of the disasters our parents warn us of actually occur.
Or is it bad that we get away with doing so many stupid and dangerous things ...
