The Bill basically says you have to have an OK by a Green inspector before you can sell the house. You must meet green code by having:

1. A Solar Reflectant Roof meeting that years green code (read a new roof)

2. A Furnace meeting that years green code (read a new furnace)

3. A Air Conditioner meeting that years green code (read new A/C)

4. A Hot water heater meeting that years green code (read a new Hot water heater)

5. Whatever the green code czar reommends for that year.

"The Bill basically says you have to have an OK by a Green inspector"

If Green Inspectors do not exist yet - the bill not having been passed - can I be prosecuted for calling on everyone to kill a Green Inspector for Christmas?

This is probably being pushed by certain segments of the home building industry, certainly by the subcontractors. They would love the government to mandate that you buy a new furnace, A/C, water heater, roof, windows, etc...

Just like the refrigeration industry was all for the ban on R12 freon; everyone had to buy new refrigeration units.

I wonder if the job of Green Inspector qualifies for hazardous duty pay...
