You have to laugh. The BNP - the party that supports our forces - has now turned full-fledged Stopper and carries an article on its website urging supporters to sign an online petition calling for Tony Blair to be indicted for war crimes.

The petition, drawn up by the “independent Blair War Crimes Foundation” (BWCF) is the work of pro-Palestinian activists and “anti-Zionists” David Halpin and Nicholas Wood. My [v. brief] perusal of its signatories revealed, among others: John Pilger, Lindsey German, Ken Loach, and Anas Altikiriti.

Is this enough proof that the lines separating neo-Nazis, far-Left moonbats and Islamists are now virtually non-existant?

I think Jews in the UK would be a lot safer with a bit stronger BNP, Tories and a lot weaker Labour Party.

A Jewish woman has won a council seat in Essex for the far right British National Party. "Patricia Richardson (nee Feldman) won her seat in Epping Forest and will now be a councillor for the Loughton Fairmead ward. Her husband, also a BNP candidate won the nearby ward of Loughton Broadway."

BNP not only has Jewish members, they are running as the BNP candidates and winning.

‘Control’ implies day-to-day supervision or management, which doesn’t exist. They can, as you say, enact changes: but only through the cumbersome mechanism of periodic primary legislation. In theory, of course, such legislation could indeed introduce a mechanism for day-to-day state control: but as yet it hasn’t, it doesn’t now, and there’s little likelihood of it doing so in future.

I do not agree. If, in the back of their minds, the so-called independent managers that do run the operation day-to-day know that Government could intervene, then "control" is defacto. But, if they "have their minds right" and behave, then the Government leaves them alone.

The best "control" is when supplicants are sufficiently trained that they can anticipate their Master's wants and never make him angry.

You're 'zactly right. I know that the BNP wants to keep England traditional English and is trying to stop the take over by radical muslims which is being allowed by the labour and conservative parties.

I would take anything in wikipedia with a handful of salt.

2. The BNP has no problem with Jews who have been in the UK for over a century. Newer immigrants are another matter.

Yes. I was pretty sure the BNP had candidates and members who were Jewish. The BNP has also given the Tories a wake up call which is a good thing. A stronger Tory Party (not wishy washy) and a somewhat stronger BNP would be good for the UK.

If I were Jewish in the UK - I would not be voting Lib Dem or Labour. British people who are black and of Carib descent have been attacked by Somalis and have been called the N word. A black British citizen did a documentary about it.

The Labour Party and Lib Dms plus PC have made the UK such a miserable place to live that people are fleeing. The former East Germany or Czechoslovakia under communism probably had a better quality of life than many parts of the UK. Much of michigan could probably say the same thing.

I see that we’re not going to agree on what is commonly understood to be meant by ‘control’, so perhaps we should leave it there. The hypothetical possibility exists that at some future point some government with an authoritarian bent might legislate to deprive me of some liberty or other: but the niggling worry that such an eventuality might arise doesn’t lead me to believe I’m in any sense ‘controlled’ by government: but there we are, that’s me....Incidentally, the nearest the BBC ever came to government control in the sense I would understand the term came at the improbable hands of Winston Churchill, no less, who in wartime conditions briefly toyed with the idea of taking over the Corporation. Exposed to the dour Scots-calvinist wrath of John Reith, he fortunately thought better of the idea...

Fair enough. We here in the United States as personified by most FReepers live in constant fear that some Marxist may get elected to office (Obama comes to mind) and would begin to attack freedom of speech or the second amendment, etc.

But those administration attacks on Fox News and Rush Limbaugh are exactly that - attempts to chill free speech. You can trace government’s attempt to control information distribution back to the dawn of mankind. I’m sure cave wall drawings had to be “approved” before publication.

The BNP is a dead end. It has a racist reputation going back to the sixties. It is like trying to reform the reputation of the KKK.

The British National Party (BNP) and Its Origins

Tyndall has tried, much like David Duke, to explain his openly Nazi period as youthful exuberance. But in 1978, he still defended the German Nazi social and economic programs, their _lebensraum_ justification for war, and their race theories, balking only at defending their dictatorship and extermination policies. [_The National Front in English Politics_, by Stan Taylor, The Macmillan Press, Ltd., London, 1982, page 57] However, Tyndall still promoted the expulsion of non-whites from England.

In fact, the National Front issued a _Statement of Policy_ which claimed that:

The NF upholds the wish of the majority of the British people for Britain to remain a White country and for this reason opposes all coloured immigration into Britain. It further advocates the repatriation, by the most humane means possible, of those coloured immigrants already here, together with their descendants and dependents... .."

Given that members of the government openly asked the BBC to not allow Griffen onto TV tonight, and the BBC refused i’d perhaps say that their recent control has been a little lacking.

Also, the BBC owns perhaps 10 of the 200+ channels on my TV. They are not in a position to dominate the media.

Actually both statement are true. I take your word for your personal experience AND BNP has a Jewish candidate.

Of course, as there are RINOS, there are JINOS as well. This is totally an anomaly. The BNP isn't going anywhere and drags down any position it advocates independent of the merits.

And therein lies the problem. The great and the good in British political and celebrity society condemn the BNP over and over again - those same people who were caught with their hands in the till over expenses, who earn vast sums of money, far more than the “average joe” could ever dream of, by making idiots of themselves on TV. Meanwhile Nick Griffin in a smart suit is jostled, assaulted and shouted down by a lot of unwashed hippie wierdos screaming that he’s a “thug”.

And the political classes in Britain are utterly at a loss as to how the BNP managed to garner a million votes at the last euro election. And you Americans think the people in your political arena are clueless...
