The Heavenly Father already knows the sin(s), there is NO need to make a confession to another flesh being to have those sins forgiven IF an actual, literal change of heart takes place. And IT is only the Heavenly Father that can know the mind of the person confessing sin(s) are sincere in repentance.
But hey if reporting your sin(s) to some man behind a curtain is your tradition I am not about to try and change your mind.
Oh just in the event I need to add all is done in the name of the Savior.
When you're ready to stop telling Jesus how things ought to work and simply accept them the way he set them up, call us. We'll still be here.
"When you forgive mens' sins, they are forgiven them. When you hold them bound, they are held bound."
He knew what he was doing.
In the Name of the Savior there are false and mendacious attacks, the ready belief of unsubstantiated rumor, the unwillingness to admit that an attack is careless, scurrilous, and baseless, and a eagerness to "rejoice in the evil" when that evil can be attributed, truly or not, to Catholics.
All in the Name of the Savior.
The article on which this thread is based is bogus. Let's hear somebody who is confident that nothing he can do can separate him from the Love of God which is in Christ Jesus admit that what was attempted was failed tarring of Catholics with a falsehood. You guys start something, won't you finish it before you switch to another attack? Or are arguments which do not go your way invalid BECAUSE they don't go your way?
