No-one has the capability to take care of everyone - or even worry about everyone. To think so is to think that person a God.
So it is better for every little person to take care of himself and his own, rather than meddle in the affairs of a person halfway round the world of whom he knows nothing.
Exactly what humanists (see tagline) think of their elite elected officials. What's funny is that I was talking to someone that obviously had this faith and reverence for the leftist elected politicians, I asked her if she'd heard of Sheila Jackson Lee or Maxine Waters. Nope.
