The difference between fascism and communism is inconsequential to the individual.

These AUTHORITARIAN COLLECTIVISTS want to make all decisions for you, substitute your goals with their goals, and punish you for disobeying or making any decision that is not “approved”.

We can debate the labels to use amongst ourselves all day but when it comes to communicating this idea to other people, and it is critical to start communicating this idea to others, we need a single label with some variation that illustrate the danger of this man, his associates and his beliefs.

Socialism is not the label to use. There is a reason Newsweek used the term. It doesn't cause much concern among people. What does the average person think of when the term socialism is thrown around? Europe? The French? The French are harmless and by extension so is socialism. It doesn't really work, but then again neither does our system in its current state. The fact that socialism has been creeping into our system since the early 1900s has a lot to do with this, but that is irrelevant to most people.

Fascism. The left spent seven or eight years labeling Bush a fascist. Hitler was a fascist. The fascist label is ineffective when applied to Obama regardless of how close his actions reflect those of a fascist.

Collectivism. Try explaining collectivism / collectivists to people. Their eyes will roll into the back of their heads thirty seconds into the explanation.

Communism. In my opinion the only label to use is communism. Nothing says misery, despair, failure and loss of freedom like communism.

Just my thoughts. Would appreciate any feedback.
