Anything that breaks the skin (bleeds, even a little) is a possible infection route. That means even the most innocuous scrape might be life-threatening, something that is difficult to concieve for the generations which have grown up with the wonders of antibiotics.

Soap, water, antiseptic, antibiotic, and a bandage are pretty much standard for the skin-breaking dings the kids get, even though we would have often ignored them when I was a child.

As one who lost an uncle and aunt to infections before antibiotics were common (both injured their feet), the development of antibiotic resistant strains of bacteria has returned us to an age when no wound, however minor, can be ignored.

According to the medical professon, the staph germs are everywhere, on our skin, well as every place we go. Most of the time if there is a break in the skin anywhere, staph can get into our system. If we have a low immune system we can’t fight it off and that is when we get the MRSA outbreak in our system. I have had MRSA in the form of cellulitis on my face off and on for 7 or 8 years, which was misdiagnosed most of those years. It is very dangerous in that part of your body as it can get into your eyes, ears, and brain. Thank goodness that hasn’t happened to me yet. If I get a cut on me, an insect bite, any thing that looks like a zit on my face, I have to really watch it and go to the doctor if it doesn't clear up quickly. So, I guess what I am saying, you don’t just get it from a locker room, you could get it from pushing a grocery cart through the store. It is a very scary time we live in. This article on FR really frightens me.

Thank you for the information about Allimax. I am looking into this. How did you find out about it and have you used it for MRSA or do you know anyone who has?

I have taken Allimax for it’s strong antibiotic (very broad spectrum) purposes, not for MRSA however ... You can call them on the phone, they will talk to you, I got the big wig right on the phone when I called, suprised me.

I believe this is yet another form of MRSA. A kid in the Austin area developed staph pneumonia and died after he got the flu. Another 5 yr.old girl got the flu and died from edema (swelling of the brain usually associated with Encephalitis.)

Although there are some 350 diseases/disorders that cause edema it's not usually something you get from the flu. This new flu comes with many complications. Leads me to believe it was MANUFACTURED.
