Michael Patrick Leahy, the Tea Party activist who has been going after NY-23 GOP candidate Dede Scozzafava with hammer and tongs, produces this photo of the candidate stumping today outside of one of Conservative Party candidate Doug Hoffmans offices. Little-known fact: There are lots of campaign workers, and signs, in such offices, ready to be deployed.
Heres some video from the presser.

Here is my post to the mods and Jim;
“I don’t know if this thread has been reported but if it has for God’s sake I don’t know why you let it go on. It’s horrible for Jim and FR.”
Fair enough?

“Actually it does not make sense...who cares if BOR highlights this thread. Those who would be offended are pobably not with us anyway!”
Really? What do you think 50’ish FReeper women who are reading this thread think about it? You, like some of the other adolescent creatins on this thread think FR is an all-boys club.
Maybe Jim should put you in charge of PR?

Attacking such a woman on her looks is like a WWE Main Event star stealing candy from Falcon Heene.

Then you’re goal isn’t to be effective, it’s because you want to be right.
Me? I always wanted to be effective. I understand I might not always be right but if I can advance the ball down the field a few yards I will have done my duty.

I did refrain from posting jokes about her appearance, but it seems to me that you should not treat sophomoric posts as the end of the world. Expecting 100% of FReepers to forgo poking fun at a liberal that had a picture taken looking like that is as unrealistic as expecting FReepers not to comment on Sarah Palin's physical appearance if a particularly attractive picture of her is posted.
Here's the lovely Sarah in a picture published a few months ago in Runner's World magazine:
Now, I guarantee you that a few FReepers will comment on her looks. That does not mean that Free Republic is not a serious on-line community, or that FReepers pay more attention to Sarah Palin's looks than to her conservative issue positions and political courage.
FReepers are free to post as they wish, so long as a certain amount of decorum is maintained; I would posit that making fun of Dede Scozzafava's physical appearance, or engaging in testosterone-induced praises of Sarah Palin's looks, are not the equivalent of racist posts or personal attacks on fellow FReepers.

Just be careful not to effectively advance in the wrong direction.

Agreed. But ridding the US of Rino’s is a calculated, measureable manuever. You want it all at once, I’m satisfied with it happening in ten years.
Sometimes success is four yards and a cloud of dust...one at a time. Depending on the hail mary pass will only lead to defeat 19 times out of 20.

Jim, if letting a Rino get elected leads to 2 Rino’s being defeated in the future, is that success?

as a fortysomething lady with a little more padding than i feel is necessary and a less than angelina jolie profile, i can honestly say, “put a bag over that woman before she scares the children and the horses.”

I'm not surprised you chimed in, I knew someone would. This is all I can say about your opinion. For every one like yours their are 50 women keeping silent but agree with me.
I'm a numbers guy. I'm not easily dissuaded by one, personal testimonial. Those that are shouldn't be in leadership positions.
For what it's worth, I believe I am looking out for you.

As I said, some slow learners haven't caught on to the fact that there is a grassroots rebellion against statism in progress. It may take a few whacks up beside the head until the more mule-headed catch on. So be it. Let the Whack-a-RINO ™ games begin.

“Looks like her campaign is going south”
Check out her RV. If those decorations are an indication of her strategy, it is clearly going south.
I hope those placards didn’t cover up the required “dede” drain valve.
Most RV waste water is blue, just like the real party she represents, just like the blue stickers on the RV.
