By now, the cat is out of the bag - President Barack Obama and his administration are no fans of the Fox News Channel and have been all too eager to wear that sentiment as a badge of honor.
However, Washington Post columnist Charles Krauthammer identified the vigor with which the Obama administration has attacked Fox. He explained on Fox News Oct. 20 broadcast of "Special Report with Bret Baier" it's different than just fighting back, but an effort to destroy the cable news channel.
"Look, it's one thing for the government, the administration to attack opponents, institutions, media," Krauthammer said. "It is another to go out to try and delegitimize them and destroy them."

Someone here posted that Gibbs asked the WH Press Corps to vote on whether or not to allow Fox News people to attend the press conferences.
SURELY THIS IS NOT TRUE...Can someone verify this?
WE coulda voted Helen outa’ the room??????
I have noticed that Major Garrett’s seat at the WH press conferences has been vacant for several days.
“re might be big companies out there who might think twice about having an ad on Fox or other news media who might think twice about following a Fox story because it might incur the displeasure of the administration”
Sponsors look at the number of people watching a show who will hear their commercials, not a look of pleasure or displeasure on a President’s’ face.
Good, but too late.
Obama is the creation of terrorists, Marxists,
Harvard, and the MSM.
Krauthammer knew Obama was a sociopath.
Krauthammer should have known Obama was serially
using Munchhausen-by-proxy as part of Obama’s psychopathy.
But Krauthammer, of the MSM and Harvard, did nothing.
Beat me to it. Unless 0 is willing to shovel out some more stimulus $$ to prospective advertisers in lieu of advertising on Fox, I don’t see advertisers giving in to WH bullying.
....I’m surprised the WH Press Corps didn’t close ranks behind FOX on this....it would be very cool if they boycotted a Gibbs press conference.
For the first time in my life I am so very ashamed of my government and my fellow Americans who were stupid enough to vote an obvious Communist with fascist tendencies.
Looks like it isn't working except to draw attention away from health care. There is much more opposition by other news organizations and some lefties (Helen Thomas) than I had thought there would be.
I wonder if Charles still wants Sarah Palin to “leave the room.”
I wish that were true. But it isn't.
Watch Glen Beck's show sometime. The advertiser's boycott of Beck has actually been highly effective. He has 3-4 pretty minor advertisers for a show as popular has his. I doubt seriously if these advertisers are paying the kind of rates that Ford, or Procter and Gamble or GE or Intel would be paying for that time slot and, for cable, that huge audience. So I'm betting that Fox is not cleaning up dollar-wise on the Beck show because of this.
OTOH, in the long run you are probably right. The advertisers will slip back in over time but it is certainly not happening very fast with Beck.
Major has been down with Swine Flu. You can follow him on twitter. Nothing nefarious, unless Gibbs purposely infected him or something.
Where are McConnell, Boehner, Huckabee, Romney etc with the cries of “why isn’t 0 fighting America’s enemies with the same level of anger that he takes on Fox News?!”
Thanks for the update—I was unaware of that.
The repulsive audacity of hope...
It’s been nice watching Charles recover from the Matthews-like man crush he had on Obama before the election.
