The Republicans have been trying to be better Democrats than the Democrats for a while now, from the local level up.

There is nothing unusual about Republican insiders picking liberal RINOs over Conservatives. It is pervasive.

Which make it all the more interesting that every fund raising call get from Republicans these days starts off with some spin on “ ... helping get Conservatives like us” elected. I lol every time.

There is little doubt Scuzzifavabeans will go down to defeat. What we need to make sure of is that the fat gasbag Gingrich pays a BIG price for his treachery. Everyone should email Sean and tell him if he has Newt on, you will turn Fox off. Period. Don’t buy his books. Avoid his and his 4th wife’s new production company and projects. Tell CPAC and other groups not to invite him any longer. If Gingrich apologizes, perhaps he can be forgiven. Until then, Newt = Pariah.

-Michael Steele, head of the RNC, who sent hundreds of thousands of dollars to be spent on her behalf.

-US Rep. Pete Sessions, chair of the National Republican Congressional Committee, who sent half-a-million dollars for advertising.

-US Rep. John Boehner, House minority leader, who twisted arms in the House to get GOP members to endorse Scozzafava and send her money.

-US Rep. Eric Cantor (House minority whip), US Rep. Kevin McCarthy, and 15 other craven GOP US representatives who wrote her checks and badmouthed conservative US Rep. Mike Pence for refusing to support her.

-Newt Gingrich, has-been, who rushed to endorse her over the actual conservative in the race.

-US Rep. Patrick McHenry, the head of the so-called “House Conservatives Fund,” who refuses to support a conservative House candidate against an ACORN- and Daily Kos-supported leftist. This outrage is compounded by the weaselly, pathetic excuse that he can’t support conservative candidates in 2009, but only in 2010.

Is there a run-off election if no one gets a majority of the votes in this election?

No, not in this particular case. It is a special election. TX does have special election runoffs, but most states do not.

Why the hell would you stay home? If the GOP nominates someone unacceptable, you vote third party, or you write in someone, but if you stay home you accomplish nothing at all.

And in the NY-23 special election, staying home will get an ultraliberal elected. All conservatives should go out and vote for Doug Hoffman, the nominee of the Conservative Party and the only candidate that isn’t an ultraliberal. In fact, all moderates should vote for Hoffman, since RINO Dede Scozzafava can’t win.

"Our sources tell us the backroom boys picked Ms. Scozzafava because she is a woman with high name recognition who could appeal to Democrats. Too bad she doesn't appeal to Republicans."

Ginny Brown-Waite is supporting Marco Rubio in Florida. It’s surprising that she would do this.

Nothing surprises me with the stupid party any more. Most of the leadership are brain dead and need to be taken off life support. This fiasco is a disgrace after 2006 and 2008. The rats are taking their lunch.

I want Hoffman to win.
I then want Hoffman to help clean up the GOP.

That is a REALLY stupid idea.

Fight.

There is always SOMETHING you can do, for the conservative cause.

Sitting out elections is dumb.

Hannity is already feeling the heat, I think.

I heard Hannity tell a caller, today, who tried to call Hannity a “partisan” -— “I am supporting an independent in New York, against a Republican!” -—

But I wish he would have said Hoffman's name!

Gosh, I missed the merger. NEA was once proud to have nothing to do with NYSUT.

It’s pretty simple really. The Republican party has been infiltrated by Democrats. I was never comfortable with the “Big Tent” concept pressed forward by George Bush Sr and his ilk. All we have done is introduced liberalism into the party. Frankly I no longer consider the Republican party to be very relevent to me. I am feeling like Ronald Reagan did when he was talking about the Democrats and said “I didn’t leave my party, my party left me”.

What a freeking disaster.

Incidentally, former Republican “Leader” Mondello is perpetually under investigation. His behavior makes you wonder if the democrats worked a deal for him to lose key districts to avoid indictment.

Are they brain-dead or just utterly corrupt? They would actually rather have the liberal Democrat win than a conservative.

Apparently, the same can be said of conservatives. We have been down this road before, and little action has been taken to remove those responsible for failure after failure from their positions within the GOP.

Despite conservatives insisting the Republican leadership hasn't learned their lesson, they actually have. They've learned they can spit in the face of conservatives time after time and we will do little more than complain about it. Sitting on the sidelines is getting us nowhere but further into the abyss.

Conservatives will have to go all out and dethrone the RINOs currently in charge. And that starts now not next year or in 2012. Time is very short and the future of our country is at stake.

Why would anyone do that? It will only lead to more liberals (Ds and Rs) in office.

Conservatives need to become more politically involved in the GOP not less ultimately attaining leadership positions within the party. We also need to support conservative Republicans and occasionally, as in Doug Hoffman's case, conservative third party candidates. That goes beyond just casting our one vote but includes giving campaign contributions, convincing others to vote for our candidates, driving voters to the polls, and actual leg work campaigning out on the streets where possible.

This is not the time to sit anything out. The future of our country depends on our actions now.

National Socialism has taken full control on the East and West Coasts, North Central and the South. “Republicans” like Snowe, Collins and Graham are the result.

The problem with your approach is, America has not seen the full effects of what damage this will do until it is way beyond the point of no return.

Hell, we are already at the point of no return.Using the 10 stage model for societal decay, we are absolutely somewhere between the 8th and 9th stage (apathy and dependency) as countless philosophers claim. The very last stage is Tyranny. And only a complete idiot could not see that we are headed for the last stage faster than you can spell it.

NYC has them, but not the county or state.
