Sales of guns and ammunition soared when Barack Obama became president because of fears that he and the Democratic-controlled Congress would pass anti-gun legislation, and that concern still shows up in a Gallup poll conducted Oct. 1-4. Forty-one percent of Americans believe Obama will try to ban the sale of guns while in office, according to the poll. While Gallup put the question in the framework of a ban on all guns, it notes that "Obama has never said, either on the campaign trail or after taking office, that he intends to push for a ban on the sale of all guns. Nevertheless, the reports of increased sales of guns and ammunition suggest that certain segments of society -- in particular, gun owners -- are acting as if this belief is true."
A majority -- 52 percent -- don't believe Obama will try to ban gun sales.
Fifty-five percent of those Gallup polled own a gun and 53 percent say there is a gun in their household.
Sixty-two percent of Republicans voice the fear of an Obama-inspired gun ban while only 20 percent of Democrats say the same. The highest level of concern is in the South and Midwest where 47 percent and 46 percent respectively are worried about a ban.
That’s very similar to what the gun store owner told me. Thanks.
6 in 10 are buying guns and ammo.
I certainly hope I never need to sue it, but knowing that sound will likely chase many, maybe most, burglars out of the house so I don’t have to fire makes me feel better.
I’m going to try to do that. I hope they will come around to that.
If I understand the operation of this shotgun, I think that’s possible.
Props to lincoln.
Those guys can’t do diddly without local law enforcement. And local coppers and deputies greatly distrust feds.
Not all fed boys are brainless and respect gun owners rights.
An unloaded gun is usless.
Get them out to the range to shoot it most people that are not into guns get a kick out of shooting them after all Been my experience
should I keep it loaded in the bedroom?
How crude.
We want peace at any cost. The agreeement of the grave. To live on our knees rather than death on our feet.
Right?
Ah, the ole self defense need. If there is unrest in your neighborhood, or maybe you hear noises outside, you probably have time to load up. If you hear noises inside your home or somebody kicks the door in, it had better already be loaded.
What you said.
The Democratic Party line on firearms is, “We have no plans to take away your weapons, for the time being.”
As soon as they have destroyed the economy and health care, they will then have time to take away our weapons. People who don’t understand this are idiots.
Here is pic during training an Eight year old to shoot and properly handle a firearm.
This is a DPMS Panther A4 5.56 with a .22 conversion kit installed.
She hit ten of ten rounds on a rifle target at fifty yards first time out.
The most exciting thing about learning is hitting the target the first time out.
It's how I convert those who don't shoot, into loving guns. And it works.
Use bird shot with limited kick and out at least 50-yards. When they see that they have
hit the target the first time you've got them hooked.
They don't need to know anything about the load you put in the shotgun. /wink nod
To hot and they'll run for the hills and hate the sport.
Now my friends Eight year old wants to shoot the hot .223 load because she
was trained properly using patience and proper sight training.
Also let them dry fire a few times to get the hang of squeezing the trigger
and racking the chamber.
Good luck.
Bacrock may have said nothing about pushing a ban, but his voting record on this issue says otherwise. He was also a board member of the Joyce Foundation. We know where his leanings are on this issue. He sucks.
Where you been lookin’? Lotsa everything available at the moment.
Yes.
That’s the bottom line, isn’t it?
