Depends. My grandfather died in 1994. My uncle (different first name same last name)acquired the house and kept the listing for years before having it changed into his own name.

BTW, I thought it odd that his sister lived at 245 Park Ave South. I'm not familiar with that particular building, but my daughter lived at #280 for several years. It was not a low rent building.
