According to a new News7 SurveyUSA poll, if the governor's election was held today, Republican Bob McDonnell would easily win the race over Democrat Creigh Deeds.
It shows McDonnell with a 59 percent to 40 percent lead over Deeds.

Hey Soros!.....May as well throw your money to the wind jackass cause you’re not getting this country!!!
Good news indeed on that front. Now if we can just get the RNC from putting forward RINO candidates.
That’s Shannon (D) not (R). Lots of straight ticket lever pulling.
With leads like that it’s going to be hard (not necessarily impossible) for the Dems to steal the election.
Hey dems, put some ice on it.
People are getting tired of Obammy crap.
We are still running like we are 10 points behind - we take nothing for granted and are pumped up!
What were Obama’s numbers and the outcome of any other races in 2008?
IOW, how blue is Virginny?
McDonnell is anything but a RINO, which is precisely why the Washington Post hates him.
Excellent news. Glad to hear that Virginia will not be ACORNed again.
Obama took VA with 53% I believe? 71 to 27 lead among independents for McDonnell. Keep this up in 2010 and hopefully the independents have woken up.
A 20 point win? That will certainly put a crimp in Bambi’s walk. More like a limp, actually.
This seems to be an outlier showing an inordinate amount of strength for McDonnell, but I do believe he is ahead by a decent margin, perhaps 8-10 pts. It would really be nice to win by double digits in Virginia. A win that big would sweep the other statewide offices, as well as trickle down into general assembly races, which could flip a lot over to Republican control.
8 point lead for McDonnell in Clarus today.
19 point lead for McDonnell in SUSA.
That’s a pretty wide range but I think closer to SUSA.
Hopefully, the final vote on the socialization of our health care will be delayed until after this election to show the “blue dogs” how bad it will be for them in 2010.
Or, as some of us Southerners like to say .... "a hitch in his get-a-long". :-)
Wow!! Those handful of far Northern VA counties are going to have to stay up all night counting votes after the polls close to overcome that kind of deficit.
To stop RINO from being elected, non-RINOs (aka true conservatives) need to run for office. Otherwise, we have nothing to complain about. Which is why I am running for State Representative.
One of the original 13 and home to 8(?) presidents. Me hopes they are cranking-up their patriotism out East.
