Beware Of Repub Strategerist Steve Schmidt, McCain's Brains, Sarah Palin's Public Enemy #1

Be afraid, be very afraid of John McCain's presidential campaign manager, Steve Schmidt who has been bashing conservative talk radio, and Christians, along with Sarah Palin ever since 2008. Despite his Mr. Clean looks, I felt like taking a shower after hearing only a few minutes of his monotonous speech on CSPAN TV last week.
No wonder the honorable John McCain lost the presidency, having been handled by a guy who began his political career by helping Bill Bradley, was complimented by the NY Times, honors the Log Cabin Republicans (I don't want to know what they do with their logs) supports gay marriage, has secretly and openly bashed Sarah Palin, and reportedly, has effected that 'religion is killing the GOP.'
Schmidt in Rantrave.com:"In a speech before the Log Cabin Republicans, former McCain campaign manager finally tells it as is putting words to what many true Republicans and independents who wish to have a full spectrum of candidates from which to choose have been saying and bemoaning for a while. According to Huffington Post writer, Sam Stein, Schmidt argued "...that the GOP has largely been co-opted by its religious elements." (1) Schmidt goes on to say, "If you put public policy issues to a religious test, you risk becoming a religious party. And in a free country, a political party cannot be viable in the long term if it is seen as a sectarian party." (2) This is a point this ranter has been arguing for months now. In a nation that values Freedom of Religion, a party that adopts religious principles as its foundation, even while calling them the more judeo-christian values, risks alienating everyone else. As Karl Rove worked tirelessly to create George W. Bush and his campaign, he placated the Christian right and, in effect, sold his soul to the devil."
If you ever wondered, and I know you did, why John McCain's campaign seemed to go unusually off kilter, oddballish, and disjointed during the 2008 Presidential race, look no further than Mr. Schmidt.
I pray the Republican Party never, ever employs the "services" of Steve Schmidt, who, I understand, is now aligned with Megan McCain in welcoming gay marriage into the GOP while dissing Christians. I could not fully understand, now I do, why McCain was going so "soft" on conservative values while leading Christian Evangelists like John Hagee and Ron Parsley (who I do not fully agree with doctrinally, but should not have been so easily dismissed as quacks) were thrown under McCain's Straight Talk Express bus, Jeremiah Wright style.
Will Republicans learn from the disastrous McCain campaign and veer away from using the expertise of people like liberal Steve Schmidt in the future, or will we be employing more Rinos to help us lose even more upcoming campaigns?

Another Republican who may not be helpful in winning back the country is the ample-globed Meghan McCain, who has been quoted lately on Twitter that "she loves Republicanism." That couldn't be the Republic of Panama she's speaking of, could it?
BTW This just in from Meghan's Twitter page:"Packing a big giant suitcase for Leno on Weds, Vegas for my Bday and then the Maria Shriver conference, hope I can fit it all in!!" And, she's claiming she is
'not a slut.' Well, that's refreshing to know.
See what we are up against? No pun intended.

We don’t need ot be afraid of these guys - just shine the light of truth on them and their activities.
No more “Unnamed sources say...”
Everyone knows what cockroaches do when you shine a light on them.

It is past time to either thoroughly clean house or build a new house. The current house is poisoned.

All of the McCains and their sycophants are worthless to the Republican Party. They are no better than political opportunists such as Colon Powell.

For some unGodly reason (no pun intended) the Republican party keeps pushing to be more like the Dems. They just don’t seem to understand that people are fed up with secular communist liberalism. We WANT god in our lives, and in our childrens lives. We want politicians that feel accountable not just to us, but to a higher power. At least that’s what I want.

Hey Schmidt, take a frikkin’ walk. We ain’t buying your brand.

Schmidt engineered and implemented the worst GOP campaign in modern history. Why anyone is listening to him is a mystery to me.

We are one nation under God. We will not send one dime to the RNC & we will give directly to Conservatives to support them.
A diabolical administration is already in power & we don't need to elect more RINOs to help them carry out their agenda.

McCain ping! Reposted that scary Halloween picture of Megn McCain.
Not sure why Palin’s name was thrown in. I guess that's just the article bait, why would Palin be a threat to anyone?

When are conservatives going to face up to the fact that they have no home in the Republican Party? They only tolerate us now in the hopes that we are stupid enough to donate money for their worthless campaigns and meaningless ads.
I cringe when I hear "we need to take back our party". The moderate/liberal faction of the Republican Party is so entenched both on the state and federal level that there will be no "taking back". I know the sentiment of many about third parties but there comes a time when that must be given at least some consideration. It makes no sense to stay in a political party that treats conservatives like a red-headed step child...

I wouldn’t say it was the worse, I score it as a tie with the Dole campaign. Both campaigns featured aging lifetime Senators with no public appeal or sense of the popular will. Both campaigns sought appealing and compelling personalities (Kemp and Palin) to buttress their failing ways. Both campaigns then sought to straight jacket their number twos and restrict their appearances, words and vision. So I call it a tie. Schmidt is just your normal inside the beltway professional flunkie. Don’t know, but would bet he went to some ivy league college and law school. Generally, those credentials will horribly skue your view of America and Americans. My guess is he is incredibly concerned with winning the illegal alien vote versus building a voter base of Americans.
To: Russ
You are right. This isn’t our party. We do however need something more than Independent (which to me just means sometimes republican, sometimes democrat). We need a solid party, with solid principles.
To: joeclarke
One would think that Schmidt would recognize that Obama and the Dems have been co-opted by the Communist Party. What Schmidt bemoans on the Right seems to be quite successful on the Left. Seems odd that he would miss such an obvious point but it explains his lack of insight into what is really happening with Sarah Palin and the Tea Party movement. He just doesn’t get it. But then most RINOs don’t understand why we can’t just be more like Democrats and Schmidt is no exception to that rule.
To: The_Victor
But..but he has a mean guy bald head and wears pin strip power suits!!!
( well, it works on the old drooler, McCain and the usual mental lightweight RINOs )
