Time for the Tea Party to become Tangible
CFP ^ | October 19, 2009 | JB Williams

Like many Americans, I have been encouraged by the average citizens who have taken private time and resources to take a stand for the good ole United States of America, the US Constitution and the founding principles and values of freedom and liberty at Tea Parties and Town Hall meetings.

But like many who have attended these events, disgusted by the overt intentional destruction of our magnificent country by DC elitists, I am deeply troubled by that fact that NOBODY in Washington is listening or reacting to the growing voice of peaceful dissent. When folks refuse to listen, sooner or later, people stop talking.

I don’t want people to get violent.

Because the politicians won’t listen.

But some will get desperate and feel trapped.

Animals are always at their most dangerous when they are cornered. And humans aren’t all that different in this respect. When trapped, instinct takes over. Humans have instinct built in too.

I have to agree here. I listen to Rush and he warns about the dangers of a third party - how it always hurts us. But things have gotten so bad - the morons in control of the party keep backing these ‘moderate’ women - who vote with the dems when it counts to ensure their ration of abortions and ability to attend gay weddings - because its the MOST important thing to them.

Newt is an idiot - he backs the ‘moderate’ in New York instead of the conservative - and the big headlines are that the conservative will vote with the DEMS?????? Right!

So who do we back? Is there anyone out there putting together a third party that hasn’t been tarred by the republicrat brush? Even if you can’t get the presidency, if you get congress, you’ve won - cut O’s powers off, and usher him out. Is Sarah viable? Or have they turned someone without the ‘proper’ credentials/supposedly high IQ into such a joke that we couldn’t get her elected?

1) take back party HQ
2) make sure polling booths are occupied with people with cameras
3) make sure every House district has a non-RINO running
4) point people who donate to RNC to the “Naked Communist” and point them to RNC backing of the Leftist in NY-23, and tell them never to support RNC again
5) organize it all on FR on permanent threads

It has to be organized on FR, centrally.

Yes to all - particularly
“organize it all on FR on permanent threads”

Seems like every other ‘republican’ site just keeps spewing out the same old pap - need to get a moderate elected ‘cause no one will vote conservative ‘cause we need a big tent blah blah blah, then when they do get in, helllllooooooo abortion, hellloooooo gay marriage, helllooooooo public option.

Well, I’ve sent my priority mail envelope request for money back to the RNC with a HUGE piece of my mind. I don’t know how you get them out and the right ones in? Once in power no one’s likely to step down! Who’s the one most likely to lead the charge for leadership change?

Two pronged approach:

1) get the word out that they are traitors
2) have our people apply continually

If they resist pressure, they could be there forever.

Eventually, we could replace them with a New RNC, or another party, but until EVERYONE knows they are traitors, we can’t do that.

Tea Party Patriots need to print up stickers to leave everywhere they visit as individuals. Restaurants, street corners, etc. etc.

A little guerrilla marketing is in order here.

It appears that Florida is showing the way on this one and possibly Arizona close behind.

I did my homework and researched Marco Rubio for where he stood on the issues before Charlie Crist announced. I was then stunned by the NRSC, only hours after Charlie’s announcement, that Charlie was their guy but it was not only me. As a member of the local REC, I also learned quickly the feeling was mutual in that we were all shocked by the early annoncement.

Several REC’s sent letters to the NRSC essentially telling them to butt out of our primary process and when the straw polls started happening, it was clear who the energized base was for. Marco has taken all 12 of those votes in more than landslide numbers and in some cases it was gooseeggs for Charlie.

We are energized behind Marco and if the local REC’s in your states have the guts, they can start to effect RINO cleansing as well. Even the Crist stronghold papers of the St. Petersburg Times and the South Florida papers are now writing that Charlie has a fight on his hands.

How has Marco brought the fight to the annoited one? He did it the old fashioned way. He went to the base in their hometowns to hold small meetings, he spoke with conviction and without a prompter and then took questions.

In May he was more than 40 points behind Crist. Last week a new poll showed he had reduced that to 14 and all that ground was gained with no advertising. The message is that we can take our party back. Get involved, make a principled stand and the base will follow us out of this malaise.

I kinda think that part of the point is that Tea Party Patriots ARE the nice people but now we are FED UP! We make this country work and we will NOT tolerate its destruction lying down.

I was thinking of something simple like a sticker with a single tea bag on it. It will cause people to wonder what it is and it won't take long until people are told word-of-mouth what it means.

Just think of the response the Obama Joker poster got when it started showing up everywhere. It got media coverage, too (although its controversial nature helped.)

We could have a FReeper photoshop logo design contest to find a good image.

Exactly, why re-invent the wheel? We need to take back what was once ours. We fight them for the RNC and we win. Donate to candidates on a local level; defund the RNC until they start backing conservative candidates.

Yes, we ARE the nice people, but with the opponent we’re facing, ‘nice guys finish last’.

But, more than a million marched under the tea bag banner - so why reinvent the wheel is common sense.

I sent my son the ‘Network’ video - I’m just mad as hell, and I don’t want to take it anymore. When I wake up, I’m afraid to click on any topics - what used to be sarcasm/joke postings, are now TRUE - every day its another encroachment.

They are in a hurry to get this stuff done and get themselves in a position of more power to stuff those ballot boxes - and then we have to fight our own party to boot!

Why would anyone think that a Third Party is going to be successful? Look what the Dems did: they moved their party way to the left and took over Congress and the Presidency. They didn’t run the Communist Party to do that, they simply started electing very liberal Dem candidates. They voted for them. We need to do the same on the opposite side of the spectrum. Give financial and other support to Conservative candidates running against RINOs in the primaries. This won’t happen over night but it is the only way we can return this country to it’s roots and throw the Socialists out of Washington.
