That’s like saying that “only” 34% of men would like to have their soft parts nailed to burning stumps.
That headline should read something like, “Dear Lord, 34% of the residents of the People’s Soviet Socialist Tyranny of Kalifornistan are still brain dead.”
It’s irrelevant that only 34% of Californians approve of Nancy Pelosi’s performance. The only statistic that is important is what percentage of people in her Congressional District will vote for her and what percentage will vote for each of the other candidates. My prediction is she wil be reelected in a landslide in 2010.

The only person that might take on Nancy Pelosi would be Jerry Rice from the 49er championship years (or Joe Montana)...Maybe they might get enough votes, although San Francisco is such a liberal bastian they probably don’t even watch football!

Its the people who live in conservative leaning districts and Blue Dog Democrats who keep her in power as the Speaker.

That 34% approval all comes from her district. She’ll be re-elected, BUT I am grinning ear to ear because she’ll have to hand over her precious gavel to the GOP Speaker of the House. Hopefully, that person is Bachmann. :)
