Just a week after it emerged that the German armed forces was getting a different kind of A/H1N1 vaccine to the general population, Der Spiegel magazine reports that the government will also get special treatment. The general population will be offered the GlaxoSmithKline vaccine, called Pandemrix, which contains a new booster element, or adjuvant, as well as a preservative containing mercury. Controversy has grown around the rapid licensing of the GSK vaccine and a similar one being made by Novartis. Critics said not enough testing had been conducted before European licensing authorities rushed an approval. Chancellor Angela Merkel, her cabinet members and ministry civil servants as well as those working for other agencies will get Celvapan, produced by US firm Baxter, which does not have the adjuvant or the preservative, according to Der Spiegel.

I will keep my kids home from school all winter if that’s what it takes to avoid this crap.
Meanwhile, here in MA, Gov. Patrick has ordered that the first people to get swine flu vaccine are prison inmates. Not healthcare workers, not children, not seniors; convicted criminals.
It’s virtually an admission that there are different statistical risks between different products and of course our lovely GOVERNMENT will decide who and where what risk will be taken.
Facts, need not apply.
There is actually some logic to that; they are filthy, stupid, and living in cramped conditions -— and the taxpayer has to provide their care.
Just imagine a whole prison with this stuff.
Somehow I don’t mind the inmates being used as guinea pigs.
Hmmm.
So which one is being delayed-distributed to Americans? GlaxoSmithKlein, Novartis, or Baxter?
I think I’ll take whatever Dingy Harry and Nancy are having. Not to mention the One.
I’ve actually had the pig flu. I was pretty damn miserable — and that was with Tamiflu.
I got the Tamiflu early (thanks to a friendly doctor friend). I still had the freezing/fever in waves, but they were “distant” like an echo, so I wasn’t in the bed shivering and wanting to die.

“All Animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others.”
Yep. This is exactly what will happen with ObamaCare.
Two or more tiers of care will appear with ObamaCare. Our masters in the government will get all the best.
I find it telling that the “betters” in the German government get the privately-manufactured American one from our “failed” health system, while the peons in Germany get the socialized-medicine produced one.
A pretty clear admission of what statement produces the superior product.
Patrick is just trying to protect the Dem voting block.
I hate to show my sci-fi side. But per “ANGEL” Did any one else notice the name of the Doc.
Wolf-Ram Hart-Mann
Yeah, I know but that’s the only time I ever saw that name.
The amount of murcury is miniscule- (and htose worried abotu cavities being filled with murcury need not be so worried- it woudl take approx. 300 teeth all filled with fillings to get a toxic level of murcury- Even given environmental ingestion of murcury- it’s not likely we’ll even approach toxic levels- not that ANY amount is good, but I always worried abotu fillings until I learned this)
Not sure what other Adjuvents are included in flu shots?
One contains a “new booster element.”
Well that makes me want to run out and get it!
I see that perhaps we could obtain one w/o thimerosal, but how do we know if it has that squalene stuff in it, which also may be bad?
Those of you in Massachusetts need to rise up and take this fool to the town square and hang him.
Then leave him there for a week or so for all to see.
How do you keep voting for this kind of ‘leader’??
Im betting Obama and “friends” will get this special brew also
