PM warns of climate 'catastrophe'
BBC ^ | 10/19/2009

The UK faces a "catastrophe" of floods, droughts and killer heatwaves if world leaders fail to agree a deal on climate change, the prime minister has warned.

Gordon Brown said negotiators had 50 days to save the world from global warming and break the "impasse".

He told the Major Economies Forum in London, which brings together 17 of the world's biggest greenhouse gas-emitting countries, there was "no plan B".

World delegations meet in Copenhagen in December for talks on a new treaty.

This is particularly interesting considering the comments of Lord Christopher Monckton posted here and elsewhere over the weekend.

Did he say this with a straight face? I can't even read it with a straight face.

The United Nations (UN) summit will aim to establish a deal to replace the 1997 Kyoto treaty as its targets for reducing emissions only apply to a small number of countries and expire in 2012.

As I understand it, the 1997 Kyoto Treaty worked perfectly. In the past 10 years the earth has cooled a bit. From where I stand, no further action is required. The job of stopping global warming is done.

They are pi$$ing on our leg and telling us it’s raining and we have to buy their trillion dollar umbrella.

And zero wants to buy it.

When will High Priest Algore commence pitching virgins into volcanos, to appease Goddess Gaia?

He told the forum, on the second day of talks in the capital, that by 2080 an extra 1.8 billion people - a quarter of the world's current population - could lack sufficient water.

More flawed logic. According to the "experts" global warming brings more precipitation and floods. There should be more water in the world. You can't have world wide catastrophic flooding that is killing millions year round and have a drought in the same areas at the same time.

Remember: ratified treaties trump our Constitution.

Goodbye national sovereignty.

I infer that Gordon Brown is a communist intent on a world-wide communist government. No one any longer is stupid enough to believe in global warming.

The sky is falling! The sky is falling! This is the chicken little of political strategies. Sadly enough, it seems to be working.

Lord Monkton needs to go beat some sense into Brown’s
Commie head.

If we are all very lucky, fifty days from now, all of those who agree with Gordon Brown will fail in their quest to save the world from catastrophe, and then throw in the towel, and instead worry about something that is real- like being killed early by socialist health care.

No one any longer is stupid enough to believe in global warming.

This is my problem and the reason I am seeing a shrink. Since I refuse to believe in conspiracy theories on the scale of Global Warming (Could be wrong according to the shrink), I must then default to the position that I am actually wiser, more logical and more intelligent than all these world leaders, including our president.

Either they know the deal and know MMGW to be false and are perpetrating fraud (criminals), or they are too stupid to govern nations, people or even a sod farm.

If the first is true, we must revolt. If the second is true, I should run for president.

....Now where are my meds.....?

They way it’s been going lately, I’d be more worried about a return of advancing glaciation.

50 days and how many hours? What’s more amazing to me is that a breathless Press laps this stuff up without prejudice or even thought. GW is just a big wealth transfer scheme. The real question is: Why are our leaders so willing to sell us down the river? Maybe the prospect that they will skim their 1% off the top of all those trillions is just too irrestible?

Global Warming May Wipe Out Rare Species

Scientists say that a rare species of cat, felis catus stripus spotus, may become extinct in the next twenty years because of global warming.

The Scientists say that the potential icrease in atmospheric carbon dioxide, as well as increased warm weather and rainfall due to man made global warming will reduce the number of trees. This will harm the creature by destroying the means to produce its favored habitat. Scientists also claimed that the species is particularly at risk because there is only one of them.

These prophets of doom always get it wrong. Never, ever make a prediction that can be proven in your life time. Especially one that is only 50 days in the future. On day 51, when nothing happens they will be exposed as frauds. If anyone cared the game would be over.
