Looking for evidence of Obama's past, Fox News contacted 400 Columbia University students from the period when Obama claims to have been there, but none remembered him.

Wayne Allyn Root was, like Obama, a political science major at Columbia who also graduated in 1983. In 2008, Root says of Obama, "I don't know a single person at Columbia that knew him, and they all know me.

I don't have a classmate who ever knew Barack Obama at Columbia. Ever! Nobody recalls him. I'm not exaggerating, I'm not kidding." Root adds that he was also, like Obama, "Class of '83 political science, pre-law" and says, "You don't get more exact or closer than that. Never met him in my life, don't know anyone who ever met him.

At the class reunion, our 20th reunion five years ago, who was asked to be the speaker of the class? Me.

No one ever heard of Barack! And five years ago, nobody even knew who he was. The guy who writes the class notes, who's kind of the, as we say in New York, the macha who knows everybody, has yet to find a person, a human who ever met him. Is that not strange?

NOTE: Root graduated as Valedictorian from his high school, Thornton-Donovan School, then graduated from Columbia University in 1983 as a Political Science major (in the same class as President Barack Obama WAS SUPPOSED TO HAVE BEEN IN)

Well, I don't know what his citizenship status is but there is something definitely not Kosher about the guy...

This is definitely the biggest untold story of the decade. The fact that there are no footprints leads one to believe that the story has been sanitized. Its amazing that the MSM spent untold effort in Alaska digging on Sarah Palin and had no interest at all in this story or who Barrack Hussein Obama actually was (other than the image carefully crafted in his autobiography).

This page from the 1982 Manhattan phonebook lists "B. Obama" as living at 339 East 94th St. (The 1982 directory is the first one Obama could have appeared in, since the 1981 directory was printed before Obama's arrival.)

Yet this page, from the 1985 Manhattan phonebook, shows that he was still living at the same address -- even having the same phone number. And he was in the following year's directory as well, still at 339 East 94th St.

Since when has the BHO team ever released more helpful information, rather than less.

What classmates? This rings false, as do a lot of his reminiscences.

One blogger/alum noted that when Obama wrote a fundraising letter for Columbia, there wasn't any of the lively local detail that would make people believe he went to school there. I'm not saying he didn't, but it's strange.

Exactly. The ARE people that remember him from Columbia. The whole notion that he didn't even go there is nuts. Here are more details from a Columbia wiki. His roommate from Occidental and Columbia has written an article in a Columbia alumni magazine. The whole idea that he could publicly claim to have gone to Columbia if he did not and then run for president and the university never denies his claim is also crazy.

Agreed. The link supplies the missing details.

I still believe there is more to the story. He may have been quite radicalized by the Columbia environment. The destructive behavior that we see from him today could have been predicted had we known more of his Columbia years.
