The immigrants don’t vote in large numbers in NoVa. What has really turned places like Loudon and Fairfax County (the two wealthiest counties in the United States) left has been the influx of gubmint employees and folks from places like New York and New Jersey.

You are correct that voters from the Northeast are ruining Northern Virginia. I fled NJ 24 years ago. I cannot understand the people who do not realize that the reason the Northeast is a mess is due to the Democrat voting patterns.

Where I live in Arlington most of the citizens just vote for the D.

I do notice less enthusiasm in this election. Last year “volunteers” where at the Virginia Metro stops handing out absentee ballot applications; this year no one.

Last year my MIL had to wait weeks for her absentee ballot after sending in the application; this year she received her ballot a few days later.
