If you have a reaction to the swine flu vaccine, it could be much worse than the flu itself.

So far the swine flu has been much milder than the old regular strain. I’ll pass on this one.

Yes, it "could be" but it is the other way. A person that have problems with the vaccination would most likely have a severe problem in case they would get the A/H1N1 flu.

Furthermore, if you vaccinate a very large group of people it is very likely that some of them would die within a few days after the vaccination, but the deaths are not related to the vaccination, it is just a random incident. However, as the human mind tries to find a cause for everything, many would assume that it was related to the vaccination.

The problem is that we at present do not have a reliable test that can show if a person would have a high risk to die from a specific pathogen (virus, bacteria etc.) We just have some statistical estimates on big groups, not on individuals. For instance bubonic plague kills about half of infected patients in 3–7 days without treatment.
