Just an anti-ObamaCare ad during the Tex v OU game (Insurance cos dropping the hammer)

Just an anti-ObamaCare ad during the Red River shootout (OU leading Tex 6-0, BTW).....that means they are going for the kill. An ad during the big college football game of the week is serious stuff, costs a lot, and reaches a lot of people. I don't care for the insurance cos too much, but hell, the enemy of my enemy is my friend, and I wish them well in their quest to crush Obama and his asinine socialist health care plan.

Apparently they (like the President says he is) are just getting warmed up.

Well, they had better get warmed up very quickly. Not much time left.

Good for them. We all have to fight this. Even if it means another trip to DC. Let's not forget zero wants to sign that global treaty in Oslo in December signing away our sovereignty. We have to stop that too. We can't let the commie in the WH take over our country. Tea partiers need to stay out there.

Maybe they will have the anti commercials during the USC-Notre Dame game as well. Lots of viewers for that one.

Being screwed by the government is the worst. I bow to all insurance companies.

Maybe (hopefully) they’ll hit the Arkansas v Florida game later today, too. That’s going to be a very heavily watched game.

Gosh, there are some good games on today.

I wonder if those ads will run during the baseball games. Now that would be good, too.

Good for them. I hope it does some good.

Zero is the worst president I've had to suffer under. After Carter, that's saying a lot.

FDR got the “mob” angry at the banks.

Obama gets the “mob” angry at:

Banks
Wall Street
Execs who fly in jets (Wichita suffers hard from this one)
Doctors
Insurance companies
Insurance agents
The “rich”

Under the current system, the government watches over and regulates insurance companies. In other words, if a company does something wrong, there is a due process system in place.

Under Obamacare, a “denial” of services can ONLY be overturned by an Act of Congress. (Comparative Effectiveness Research, already approved in the “Stimulus” will form the “death panes” Palin warned us about, under Obamacare!)

The government, currently, denies claims all the time, under the VA, Medicare, Medicaid and Civil Service plans.

The Medicare web page has a information on “coordination of benefits” -—

Which means, if you MIGHT be able to claim against:

Auto Insurance
Home owners insurance
Workman's compe insurance
Any group plan

Or, RECEIVE ANY COURT JUDGMENT related to the health issue -

The United States Government can take all of that money, after it is awarded to you, and the Government can DENY a claim, outright, based on other, possible benefits you might be entitled to receive, from other sources.

Does the media EVER expose a “denial of claim” done by the government?

Of course not! Even though many of the “denials” made by private insurance companies happen for exactly the same reasons.

The problem is, privacy issues prohibit agents and companies from defending themselves, when individual problems are aired in the media.

Want a real shocker?

Type “medicaid estate recovery” into your browser, with the name of your state! They BRAG about going after the estates of the dead, who used Medicaid services!

If given the choice between bureaucrats and private industry, go with the private industry - it is a much safer bet - your life depends on it!

Insurance companies don’t take away your constitutional rights like this government will do.

That is the flip side to the Dumocrats’ lies that there is a constitutional right to health insurance.

You have the freedom to obtain health insurance.

The govt wants to take away your freedom to choose.

Yeah, I hope they help derail this train - but from what I can tell their objection is that the fines aren’t big enough to really force people to buy policies.

Yea !

Lets hope for bigger fines ! (and a Longhorn victory)

Yeah, they sat on the sidelines much too long. Just like we all kept waiting and waiting and waiting for McCain to take the gloves off and fight for the presidency like he wanted it.

It’s good to see the insurance companies taking time out from canceling coverage on sick people and raising rates to fight socialism. If we ever have to face full socialism here in the USA, the shortsighted practices and methods of the insurance lobby and their masters will bear much of the blame.

Wonder if CNN will refuse to run any such ad.

Carter didn’t fill his cabinet with, nor appoint tsars who were out and out Communists. This is bigger and badder than anything we have been faced with in my 57 years.

Agreed.

The Obama=Carter comparison is like an AIDS=Gonorrhea assertion.

Both are STDs, but they are not equal in effect or susceptibility to treatment.

probably a good thing since advertising on CNN is a waste of money...nobody sees it.
